Once again, the transaction wheel is spinning and spinning but nothing is updating. Anyone plan on ever fixing this? Nope, it's not Quickbooks, it's the end user. As your CS rep, the sheet in front of me told me to tell you to clear your cache and use an incognito browser - and try again. And if you need further help contact by phone for even worse service - where you will be told there are no known issues on their end.
I know that this hasn't been easy for you, hd372.
The spinning wheel might be caused by a connection between your bank's website and QuickBooks Online. If you have noticed that you're no longer getting your latest transaction, you can perform a manual update to refresh your bank connection. Here's how:
However. if the same thing happens, I'd still recommend contacting our technical supports. This way, we'll be able to investigate this issue. Here's how to connect with us:
I'm also adding this article to help review your downloaded online banking transactions in QBO: Categorize and match online bank transactions.

I can see how difficult this has been that's why I'm here to get you back on track.
Before we proceed, I would like to know the name of the bank you're having problems with. This is one of the best pieces of information to verify if there's an ongoing connection issue between the financial institution and QBO.
In the meantime, you can disconnect and reconnect your bank to establish a new connection. For the detailed instructions, please follow these steps:
Additionally, here's the article that compiles the solutions you can perform whenever transactions aren't downloading from your bank: What to do if you get a bank error or can't download transactions in QuickBooks Online.
QBO recommends that you reconcile your account regularly. The process is used to make sure the balance matches your real-life bank statement. When done, the program will create a report to record that session. This data can use as a reference to avoid mistakes in doing future reconciliations.
I always want to ensure that all your queries are answered. If you have follow-up banking questions or any other QBO concerns, please add a comment below. I'll get back here in this thread to provide further help. Have a great week ahead.
Hey there,
I have an actual answer that's simple & really works:
When the bank transactions feed is stuck in a perpetual loop of updating, simply re-order the position of your accounts. It can be as simple as changing the position of just 1 account. Doing this refreshes them & allows you to update things properly. You can them re-order them back to how they were originally.
Hope this helps!
