New Chase (All) Bank feeds not downloading all transactions

I updated to the new Chase (All) listing for my bank feeds last week as required and I have been extremely frustrated ever since.  I now have to download the activity for my main bank account and 15 different credit cards all separately instead of being able to do them all at once like before.  Now, after a few days, the download for only my operating account isn't pulling any transaction detail.  It connects properly and there are no errors, but no transactions come up for review.  I typically have a minimum of 80 transactions daily to review and in the last 2 days I've gotten none.  But downloading the transactions from my credit cards has worked perfectly, so the connection is working properly, it's just not pulling data from my bank.  Help!  I hate this new feature!  The last one worked so well and I'm frustrated this new update was pushed onto customers and it doesn't work properly.

New Chase (All) Bank feeds not downloading all transactions

Hi there, @cmalbarado.

I'm here to help ensure you're able to download your online transactions in QuickBooks Desktop banking feeds.

Let's perform a few troubleshooting to determine why your bank account in Chase isn't downloading your online transactions while it is working properly on your credit card accounts and resolve it accordingly.

Make sure to create a backup copy of your company data before following the steps below:

A. To Rebuild Data

  1. Go to File.
  2. Click Utilities.
  3. Select Rebuild Data.
  4. Click OK.

B. To Verify Data

  1. Go to File.
  2. Click Utilities.
  3. Select Verify Data.
  4. Click OK.

Here's a link you can read to learn more about the troubleshooting steps: How to Fix Possible Data Damage on your Company File in QuickBooks Desktop?.

However, we may need to continue our troubleshooting steps if the tool above didn't perform any changes. Use this link for reference: Run Quick Fix my Program from the QuickBooks Tools Hub.

You may also read this reference with the topics to use while working with your bank accounts and transactions: A Series of Articles that Covers Bank Feeds in QuickBooks.

I've got you covered if you have other questions about banking accounts and online transactions in QuickBooks. Let me know by leaving a comment using the Reply option below. Take care always!

I tried all that and nothing has worked. The only thing that seems to work is disabling and then re-enabling bank feeds for that account. However this is problematic because the bank feeds then turn around and download transactions it has already downloaded, resutling in a lot of duplicates that takes extra time to go through. There are a lot of bugs in this new system that Intuit needs to fix. I've reported my issues with the report feedback system already but I'm not sure anyone even actually follows that. This new system is extremely frustrating

Intuit, is there any other advice? My bank feeds are still not working properly. In order to get any data into my QuickBooks file, I have to disable and then re-enable my bank feeds. And then it downloads everything since the 9/25 date when I was forced to update the bank feeds and I have to delete all the duplicate transactions. And it's still not downloading everything. It does not work properly and I'd like some word that Intuit is working on fixing this problem. Why would you roll out an update that doesn't work for the user?

I appreciate your efforts in resolving the issue with your bank feeds, @cmalbarado. I can give you a workaround so you can quickly continue your business.

In order to provide a safer and better banking experience, we have upgraded bank feeds. I recommend you refresh your Express Web Connect online banking connection. This helps in reconnecting the bank account's connection to your QuickBooks Desktop.

The following accounts require reconnecting:

  • Capital One by 4/30/2022
  • Discover by 6/30/2022
  • Chase Bank and these affiliate banks by 9/27/2022 Note: all are now Chase Bank (ALL) – New
    • First USA
    • CardMember Services
    • Bank One
  • Bank of America by 10/11/2022. Note: it is now Bank of America (New)

To begin, ensure to back up your company file and upgrade to the most recent release. This way, you can easily restore the file in case you run into errors. After that follow the steps below to isolate the issue:

  1. Be ready to switch to Express Web Connect
  2. Disable the bank feed for your account
  3. Set up an account for Bank feeds
  4. Download transactions with Express Web Connect

Here's a module you can browse for the detailed steps: Refresh your connection for Express Web Connect online banking.

Lastly, I'm adding this helpful article about handling problems with your company file: Fix data damage on your QuickBooks Desktop company file.

Keep in touch if you have other concerns with this matter or QuickBooks in general. I'm always ready to back you up. Take the best care!

Same.    Been happening to my main chase account since the "upgrade"

My accounant now wants me to start manually doing bank feeds, however, the truth is that I just don't have the time.

I'm starting to think after 18 years it may be time to look for different software.  Someone probably has surpassed Quickbooks by now

I am having the same problem. I have 4 accounts with chase and 3 of them is able to download transactions but my main chase account does not download transactions. It connects but does not download transaction which then I have to manually enter.  Tried disabling bank feeds and reconnecting but that does not work for me either.

I'm delighted to have you here today.

You may want to contact your bank to know if your Chase main bank account supports connectivity with your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) company. If they allow the connectivity, and the issue persists after disconnecting and reconnecting the bank, you'll want to contact our Customer Care Team. This way, a representative can access your account in a secure environment and conduct further investigation to determine the root cause of the problem.

To get you going, here's how:

  1. Open QuickBooks.
  2. Go to Help, then select QuickBooks Desktop Help/Contact Us.
  3. Select Contact Us.
  4. Give a brief description of your issue, then select Continue.
  5. Sign in to your Intuit account and select Continue and then Continue with my account.
  • If you don't already have an account, make sure to Create a new account.

       6. We'll email you a single use code. Enter your code and select Continue.

  • If you have more than one account, select the account you want to use and then Continue.

      7. Select to chat with us or Have us call you.

New Chase (All) Bank feeds not downloading all transactions

I have the same issue - one chase account with two bank accounts and two credit card accounts. Three of the four accounts download transactions fine, but one of the credit card accounts does not. I have tried doing the Utility --> Rebuild Data option to no avail. I tried removing the credit card account and adding it back in, but it still does not download all transactions. Once I add the account back, it downloads some duplicate transactions and that's it.

I called earlier this morning only to be told that my QuickBooks Pro 2021 does not come with tech support. After finding this thread, I called again only to hear the automated attendant tell me that the wait time is over one hour. This is INSANE! At this point my only option is to enter every credit card transaction manually, but that will take forever.

Considering how much you guys charge for this software, it feels like I am getting swindled.

I switched to downloading as qbo from chase. You can then import that on desktop the same.  It's a bit more manual, but you can control the dates more precisely.

You go to your account on chase and look at recent transactions and hit the down arrow at the top right corner to download transactions and choose qbo.

Then in QuickBooks go to import and choose web connect files I think it is called.

You have to disable the auto bank feeds, but this way still uses the same matching page that you are used to.  Luckily I only have one account these days, might be cumbersome in your case.... But better than manual

Thank you for the feedback, eldal. I tried this, and I think I can work with it. However, it is not ideal. When I download from Chase, it downloads all transactions from both credit cards and designates a new account number, which doesn't match either of the two that are in Quickbooks already. So, to make it work, I am forced to delete the two accounts in Quickbooks and I lose out on the granularity of the two separate accounts (main + employee card).

I am very disappointed at how Quickbooks is handling this. Clearly, many others have this same issue.

I figured out how to manually download (from Chase) only the transactions for the credit card that Quickbooks is not downloading automatically. I created another subaccount under the main Credit Cards Payable account so that I can load the manually downloaded transactions into it. I think this will work okay until Quickbooks fixes this issue (I hope this will happen, but I'm not holding my breath). This way, I will not need to enter all of the transactions manually.

This is happening to me too. It's costing me several hours a week.

Usually it happens when there are a lot of transactions ready to be uploaded. It's like it just freezes. I have had success in refreshing feeds daily but if I every forget it get this.

I think we're going to Netsuite unless someone can fix this soon

Thanks

New Chase (All) Bank feeds not downloading all transactions

Hello there, @RW55. I'll share insights about downloading all of your bank transactions into QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

The syncing of bank transactions in QBDT will depend on your bank. Thus, you'll want to reach out to your financial institution (Chase Bank) to see if there are any ongoing problems with syncing your transactions to QBDT.

However, if you have verified that there's no issue from your bank, I suggest, running the Verify/Rebuild tool. The Verify will detect any damaged data, and then the rebuild will attempt to fix the damaged data detected. It also allows your QuickBooks software to refresh the data inside the company file. Make sure to create a backup copy of your company file before starting the process. If there are changes that occur, having a backup copy allows you to restore it to undo the changes.

Here's how to verify data:

  1. Navigate to the File menu.
  2. Choose Utilities, then select Verify Data.
  3. Click OK when you see the message, QuickBooks detected no problem with your data.
  4. If Verify finds an issue with your data, you'll be prompted to Rebuild Now or View Errors.
  5. Click Close or View Errors and take note of the specific error message.

Next, here's how to rebuild the data:

  1. Go to the File menu.
  2. Choose Utilities, then select Rebuild Data.
  3. Click OK if you receive a prompt to back up your company file.
  4. Click OK when you get the message, Rebuild has completed, and proceed to the next step.
  5. Run Rebuild Data again to make sure there are no errors.

Moreover, you can check out this article in case you encounter a specific error related to banking inside QBDT: Fix OL and OLSU Bank Feeds errors in QuickBooks Desktop.

I appreciate you performing all the troubleshooting steps and workaround suggested by my colleagues, @jmaz37. Allow me to assist you further and make sure you'll be able to download your bank transactions.

Since you've already performed the Verify & Rebuild, let's go ahead and download QuickBooks Tool Hub to help us fix common errors. We recommend using Tool Hub on Windows 10, 64-bit. Let me walk you through the process:

  1. Close your QuickBooks file.
  2. Download the most recent version (1.6.0.3) of the QuickBooks Tool Hub. Save the file somewhere you can easily find it (like your Downloads folder or your Windows desktop). Note: If you've installed Tool Hub before, you can find out which version you have. Select the Home tab.  The version will be on the bottom.
  3. Open the file you downloaded (QuickBooksToolHub.exe).
  4. Follow the on-screen steps to install.
  5. When done installing, double-click on the icon on your Windows desktop to open. If you can't find the icon, search for QuickBooks Too Hub on your Windows.

Next, let's run the QuickFix my Program from the Tool Hub.

  1. In the QuickBooks Tool Hub, select Program Problems.
  2. Click on Quick Fix my Program.
  3. Start QBDT and open your data file.

After which, proceed to step 3 and run the QuickBooks File Doctor. For a detailed step-by-step process, kindly visit: Fix company file and network issues with QuickBooks File Doctor.

On the other hand, if the issue persists even after performing the recommended steps above, I'd recommend getting in touch with our Technical Support Team. I know that you've already contacted them but it's the best we can do given that they have the necessary tools to further look into this without compromising your account's security.

Additionally, I have an article that can assist you in understanding the process of reconciling your accounts to ensure they align with your bank and credit card statements and, allow you to identify any discrepancies and resolve them: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Desktop

Our team is committed to providing you with the best possible support, and we appreciate your patience throughout this process. If you have any further questions or concerns, kindly leave a reply. We're here to help and ensure that your banking experience is as smooth as possible.

I am having the same problem.  I have multiple Chase accounts and only my main checking account is not downloading new transactions.  It seems multiple people are having this issue with Chase and Intuit keeps providing the same non-working solutions over and over.

New Chase (All) Bank feeds not downloading all transactions

Let's isolate the error you're having to get your latest transactions from your main checking account, @GShack.

Let's troubleshoot the issue with your bank transactions by creating a test company file and connecting your bank from there. If the transactions get imported successfully into this test company file, then you can return to your main company file and verify and rebuild your data.

Here's how to create a dummy company file for testing online transaction downloads:

  1. From the QuickBooks File menu, select New Company.
  2. Select Express Start or Start Setup.
  3. On the newly created test company, add to the Chart of Accounts the bank account which was experiencing issues.
  4. Set up the account for Bank Feeds.
  5. Download bank feed transactions to test the account.

If your bank transactions are imported successfully in this dummy account, follow the steps provided by my colleague above to verify and rebuild your data in QuickBooks Desktop.

If the issue persists, here's how to download and install QuickBooks Tool Hub to run the Quick Fix my File and the QuickBooks File Doctor: Fix company file and network issues with QuickBooks File Doctor

Let me know if you need further help downloading your transactions from your bank account. I'm always here to assist. Have a wonderful day!
