My client has a QuickBooks Checking account and the bank feed has not updated since Jan 18. This is when the NEW feature for QuickBooks Checking appeared in the Account and Settings section so I'm wondering if something has changed due to the NEW feature.
The bank feed tries to update and reverts to a green check mark, but the new transactions don't show in the bank feed. I've tried various ways to get it connected again (incognito browser etc) but it won't connect.
Is anyone else having this problem or have suggestions on what to do?
Thank you for promptly informing us of the problem you encountered, @Karen from Check the Level.
To provide better assistance, may I kindly inquire if there's any specific error message you encountered while updating your bank?
We'll be on the lookout for your reply about updating QuickBooks Checking account Bank feed. We're committed to offering ongoing assistance. Take care.
Thanks for the reply. There is no error message at all. The account updates, goes to a green check mark (as if it did), but the updated date remains as 01/18/2024. On the Dashboard, the Business Overview shows with the red exclamation mark as 'Needs attention'. If you click there, it goes to the bank feed, briefly shows the orange warning "something's wrong' but that immediately disappears ( even thought I don't update).
The client told me that they have tried signing in to the bank account again (twice last week). I tried clearing my cache and cookies and will do that again but I can't see any obvious solution to this. The client has tried the same
I appreciate your time posting here in the Community, Karen.
I want to ensure your QuickBooks checking account bank feed will be fixed. Let's perform some troubleshooting steps to get this fixed.
There are times when the browser you're using has data issues, thus causing QuickBooks to act weirdly. To verify, let's log in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account using a private browser. To do so, press this shortcut key on your keyboard:
If you get the same result while using a private browser, I suggest switching to a different supported browser.
If the issue persists, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Support Team. This way, they can further check on this matter and provide in-depth troubleshooting steps to get this resolved. They can also open an investigation ticket if other users are experiencing the same.
Moreover, I'm adding this helpful article as your reference for running reports to view useful info about your business and employees, you can check out this article for more guidance: Run reports in QuickBooks Online.

Thanks for the suggestion about the private browser but I already tried that. We'll continue trying different things or just run the account without a bank feed. The client uses it to accept credit card payments from customers, but we have other options.
Not sure why you linked an article on running payroll reports because that isn't relevant, but thanks for trying.
@Karen from Check the Level did you figure this out? I've been having same issue and, as you've found, historically the official answers on here are unbelieveably unhelpful and usually just a time suck. Since this is linked automatically I've seen no way to "resync" it either. Exact same issue as you posted for about a week now.
Thanks for weighing in. This is not resolved. My client logged a ticket and then were told about ten days later that it was resolved. It was not resolved. A new ticket has been logged. The QuickBooks Checking account does not work in the bank feed and hasn't for over a month. That's the bottom line on this.
At least now it shows an error message in the bank feed ... small consolation.
Very frustrating
Karen, One thing I noticed today is that the amounts in the Dashboard presented on the Transactions screen is not updating, but when I click on the bank and drill into it I get the correct amount in the account. Dashboard still showing last updated "1 day ago" despite my updating just now. But again the drilldown amount seems correct.
Thanks for that - ours is still not updating and still shows the bank balance from Jan 18. We'll try disconnecting and reconnecting the bank feed and see if that helps.
Were you able to do this? I didn't think it was an option with this account (disconnect and reconnect).
I'm going to have to spend some time with support to either see what other ways we can see these transactions or close this account. Just got a notification that the bank card was being used overseas which I didn't authorize. Because the feed is not updating I cannot at all tell if there were other transactions on here I didn't authorize and NO I do not have the time right now to call and go through all kinds of transactions esp since sometimes it is not obvious by the description whether it is something I actually did which is why seeing these is so important!
I thought I promised myself I would never use new Quickbooks features again after my disaster switching from Desktop to Online years ago. Online is pretty good now but new QB features need many months, or in the case of QBO many YEARS, to mature given the importance of the service. My business taxes will never recover after the QBO fiasco and somehow I said I'd jump in an use this....
