Hey everyone,
I hope the title made a little sense but basically we have an american express card and the statement is always through the 3rd of each month. So December 2018's statement just came out with an ending date of 1/3. When I go into quickbooks and enter the statement ending date of 1/3/19 with the ending balance, I see no transactions. I was messing around with QB and I changed the date to 12/31 and the transactions do come up, but the issue is, on the actual statement, the transactions run through the 3rd of January. What is the best practice in this situation to reconcile the credit card?
Thanks in advance!
Sorry, it appears I entered the ending date of 1/3/18 and not 1/3/19 and the now the transactions show up. Thanks
Hello @taha1989,
I'm glad to hear that you were able to get this resolved. I keep signing things with the wrong year, so I certainly know where you're coming from.
Since you're reconciling, I was wanting to mention that there is a hub of articles to assist with this process in QuickBooks Online. You can access it at the following link: QuickBooks Reconcile Hub.
