I just switched from PC to Mac, at a pretty penny I might add, and it doesn't work correctly? I received a couple of payments in Windows previous to the change. Now I'm trying to record the deposits from the merchant services account, which also costs me money, but I can't link them to the invoices they belong too.
I'm unable to change the source column to invoices in the "Record Merchant Service Deposits" screen. I haven't been able to get past this step to see if there are any other issues. I'm not sure why QB for Mac is so much more convoluted than Windows, other than the Sandbox Security of Mac OS X? Anyway, Hopefully, Intuit can help me out here?
Hi there, BtrTch.
Thanks for dropping by the Community, I'm happy to help you record the deposits from Merchant Services and link them to your invoices. Once you've synced your Merchant payment account with QBDT, you should have an option to link it to an open invoice.
If you're having trouble, lets go ahead and troubleshoot a few steps. To check if there's an empty or damaged information file, let's rebuild and verify your QuickBooks Desktop.
Here's how:
To verify the data in QuickBooks, you can follow the steps in this article: Resolve data damage on your company file.
If your issue persists, I recommend contact our Merchant Service Support Team. They have additional tools to pull up your account and investigate this further. Here is a link to the Merchant Service Support team.
I'm also including some additional info on Merchant Service Deposits in QBDT:
If there's anything else I can help with in the meantime, feel free to post down below.

Well so far this morning, I haven't had any luck. I tried to rebuild the data to no avail. I went to your article to 'Resolve damage' and tried verifying data as well as downloading the repair tool. I can't use the repair tool since it's made for Windows only. I read your other articles listed and that didn't help. So, I contacted support through chat. They decided they wanted to transfer me to someone that works with Mac's. They couldn't transfer me in chat so they gave me a number to call.
Guess what, that number told me to get on chat with someone. So far Intuit hasn't been any help.
Hi there, BtrTch.
I see you have past interactions with us to get this issue fixed. However, as of now, we are unable to recommend other solutions other than getting in touch with our Customer Support Team again. They have the tools to pull your account and confirm why the issue continues to occur after following the steps above.

Finally got a hold of tech support and we found a solution. Not really the ideal solution since QB merchant services automatic payments don't work with QBDT Mac. Hopefully, that feature will be added soon. It seems that if Intuit was charging for and providing a product & service that it would work the way it needs too. Anyway, I guess for the moment this subject can be closed.
