Let me help fix the issue on your Banking page, JerzyBoy.
Our Product Team will only release updates when you see the Update button for QuickBooks on your app store. You can consider checking on it all the time to download the latest improvements and features of the app.
I know that we're busy and you'll want the device to perform the updates for you. Hence, you can set your mobile device to auto-update QuickBooks.
Here's how:
After updating QuickBooks, you can go back to the bank feed and match transactions. Before you match, make sure to categorize them first.
Here's how:
You also have the option to categorize and match bank transactions via a web browser.
Once done, make sure to reconcile your bank account every month. Doing this will ensure your books have accurate records. Here's a link to guide you: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.

Thanks Maryland. However the fix isn’t addressing the recurring problem where for no known reason the ability to click on account balances in the app is non-functional. I checked today and that still the cant match transactions or see what activity is in the bank feed. This ability has been switched of before. Auto updates are on and a prompt within the app that this happened with a link to release notes is appreciated. (Required in certain areas). Or possibly there is currently a problem and the “feed” is disabled.
Requiring users to check the App Store is not what I would expect as suggested. With many other cloud-based apps, an alert within the app or email of a pending changes is provided. Usually with a link to full information/ release notes.
My suggestion is to help identify and provide users with information that something is about the change. Whether that be in the app or some backend service. Thank you.
Hello, JerzyBoy.
I understand how convenient it is to use the QuickBooks mobile app's feature. To track your business while on the go is much easier with this.
Updates may not sync immediately, especially if the apps contain outdated or corrupted data. Since the auto-update feature is enabled. Let's try to reset the app's data to refresh the application.
Here's how:
If the same thing happens, you can use your mobile or computer browser to log in to your account. After that, you can begin to categorize and match bank transactions.
I also encourage submitting your product suggestion for providing alerts and notifications when updates are coming. Your idea will help improve our product and be valuable to all QuickBooks users in the future. You can visit this link to submit your suggestion: Customer Feedback for QuickBooks Online.
I've also added this article for future reference: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.

Unfortunately, Before I saw your last response, I saw the v15.2 IOS version wasn't installed yet on the phone but was available. I initiated that and while do so also tried the app and it is now working. And it worked also after the IOS Upgrade. I was able to drill down and match transactions like I had before.
I didn't get a chance to reset the app as you outlined above. Next time this happens I will try that first. Thanks for the quick response and follow up.
