I apologize for creating some confusion. It wasn't the end date that was problematic. It was the end amount. I was able to identify the issue and solve it. The issue wasn't with the ending date on the screen that you attached below. The issue was with the reconciliation page Edit box in the top right corner. On the page like the one you attached, I was able to cut and paste the end amount from the bank statement. However, in the Edit box, cut and paste results in the amount disappearing and turning to 0. Once I typed the amount in directly, problem solved.
Thanks for reaching out to the Community, Kathy GreenBudBooks.
I've reviewed our ongoing/solved investigations and can confirm there's currently no records of the Ending balance field changing back to $0.00 when going through QuickBooks Online's reconciliation process.
I checked it out myself in our test drive account and didn't experience the same problem.
Here's an image showing my experience:
Since QBO is accessed through a browser, I'd recommend checking if the application's temporary internet files are causing problems. Browsing apps store this data, but sometimes they cause display issues on certain web pages. You can open a private window and try repeating the same process.
Here's how to access incognito mode in some of the most commonly used browsers:
If you're able to complete your reconciliation without the Ending balance switching back to $0.00 after you've made your entry, it's safe to say the browser is causing the issue. You can fix it by clearing cached data and Intuit-specific cookies.
In the event this problem continues occurring, you'll want to get in touch with our Customer Care Team. They can pull up your account in a secure environment, conduct further research, and initiate an investigation ticket if necessary.
Here's how to contact them:
1. Click the Help (?) icon.
2. Choose Contact Us.
3. Enter a description of your situation in the What can we help you with? field, then hit Let's talk.
4. You'll be presented with a few options for connecting with Intuit. Select Start messaging or Get a call.
Be sure to review their support hours so you'll know when agents are available.
I'll be here to help if there's any other questions. Have a great day!
