I didn't get any helpful information from the other post.  

The thing is, it worked fine for months.   Its my favorite feature of the online version. 

I used to just snap reciepts when I recieved them.  

Now it just buffers.  

What could have changed?

I can imagine the hurdle you’ve been through when uploading receipts is not working with the QuickBooks app, @Rady Electric. I'm here to help get this fixed.

Let's examine if the app is updated as it affects the performance. Just locate the QuickBooks app, it requires running 11.1 or newer and Nougat 7.1.1 or higher for Android. Once done, let's determine if this is a cache-related issue by clearing your app data to refresh the background processes and eliminate older files that might cause the odd behavior. To proceed, follow the steps below:

 

For iOS devices: 

 

  1. Select the menu icon at the top right corner of your phone screen.
  2. Press Help & Feedback, then click Refresh Data and Refresh

 

For Android: 

 

  1. Tap the menu icon and choose Settings
  2. Select Refresh Data, then click Yes.

 

If the issue persists, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Online Support Team. They also have additional tools to pull up your account and do a screen share to guide you in rectifying the issue. 

 

To speak with one of our experts from QuickBooks Online Support. Please follow the steps below to contact support:

 

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online company using a web browser. Select Help (?).
  2. Choose the Talk to a human option (then type it again when prompted).
  3. When asked by the bot, enter a short description of your concern.
  4. Select I still need a human.
  5. Proceed with Contact us.
  6. Click Let’s talk, then click on Start messaging.

 

You can contact us from Mondays to Fridays, 6 AM to 6 PM PT, and Saturdays, 6 AM to 3 PM PT.

Yeah,

None of this stuff worked. 

Intuit is aware that this is an issue..   I keep getting emails about it.  the last email I got from you guys said that the latest update fixes this issue.  I keep looking for an update to install, and there doesnt seem to be one.

I recognize the urgency of resolving this to get you back in working order. Allow me to help you to get around this.

 

Before anything else, have you checked your device settings to make sure you have a supported OS? The latest version of QuickBooks Online requires iOS 11.1 or newer, or  Nougat 7.1.1 or newer. If you don't meet these requirements, the App Store and Google Play won't show that an update is available for QuickBooks.

 

For now, I'd recommend uploading the receipt through a web browser or through iPad.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks Online. 
  2. Go to Transactions, then Receipts
  3. Select Upload from computer or Upload from Google Drive.
    Note: Each image or file should only contain a single receipt.
