Trying to import JE's ... it is telling me that the contact is not valid in QB... any idea as to how to set up a 'Contact'?

Hi there, Dennis. I see you're interested in importing your journal entries with contacts to QuickBooks Online.

At present, this functionality is not available. These are the following columns and details supported when importing your journal entries

  • Journal Number and Date
  • Account Name
  • Journal
  • Debits and Credits

To successfully import your journal entries, ensure that all the details in your spreadsheet are correct.

In the meantime, you can consider exploring a third-party app that offers this as an alternative solution. You can directly visit our QuickBooks App Store or go through the Apps menu in your product.

Let me assist you with how to do it:

  1. Hover over the Apps menu from the left panel, then click the Find Apps tab.
  2. From the search bar, type in the keyword to look for an app.
  3. Once done, you can choose an app from the lists that suits your business needs.
