Two bank accounts. Yesterday 39 transactions downloaded to the wrong account. Today it worked fine. How do I move downloaded transactions between bank accounts?

Hi there, @michael64.

You'll need to exclude the downloaded bank transactions and upload them to the right account. Let me guide you how.

In your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account:

Go to the Banking menu.
On the Banking page, select the For Review tab.
Select the checkboxes of the transactions to exclude.
Choose Exclude Selected from the Batch actions drop-down.

Once done, download the transaction from your bank and upload them to the right account. Here's how:

Go to the Banking menu.
Select the Banking tab.
Select the right bank.
Form the Update drop-down menu, select File upload.

Also, I recommend reaching out to your accountant for further advice. This way, you'll be guided accordingly.

I got to the point where I tried to upload a .CSV file and I get an error saying there was something wrong with the .CSV file. Any ideas?

This error occurs when the formatting or the mapping of the CSV file is incorrect. I have a few steps you can try to fix the issue.

First, check the format of your file. QBO can import CSV files that use either a 3-column or 4-column type.

Next, let’s review the information and make sure it doesn’t contain any of the following characters.

0's are not allowed anywhere in the file, e.g $0 should be left blank.
$ symbols are not allowed, e.g $234 should be 234.
Commas for thousands are not allowed, e.g 2,111 should be 2111.
Other special characters such as #, %, and & are not allowed.
