updating credit card data import

I mistakenly set the credit card import start date too early and I need to change the date.  I've tried updating the import date as well as deleting the credit card all together and re-connecting, but every time the import data starts with the original August date that I selected.  What am I missing?

updating credit card data import

I've got your back, DH617. I'd be happy to help you in changing your credit card import starting date in QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.

To proceed, let's exclude first the uploaded transaction that shouldn't be included. Follow these steps to proceed:

  1. Go to the Transaction menu and proceed to the Banking tab.
  2. Click the For Review tab.
  3. Select the checkbox of the transactions to exclude.
  4. Select Exclude

Since you've set up your banking account in QBO, I'd recommend importing your transactions from your bank's website manually through CSV file format.

To pick a start date for your credit card, you can follow the instructions below:

  1. Sign in to your bank or credit card's website.
  2. Follow your bank's instructions for how to download CSV files of your transactions to your computer. Every financial institution has different steps.
  3. Check the date range for the download. It should be at least one day before the date of your oldest transaction.
  4. Download your transactions. Save the file somewhere you can easily find it, like your computer's desktop.

You can also visit this article to know more details on how to manually upload transactions from your bank to QBO: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.

Additionally, you might want to match and categorize transactions, please check out this article: Match and categorize the downloaded transactions.

If you have any further questions about your credit card importing date in QBO, please let me know and I'll do everything I can help here in the Community. Have a good day!
