Hello Amanda,
We can run a QuickBooks update and see if this will fix the issue. If the same thing happens, you can create a dummy bank account and connect your real account to it. If it works fine, this means the issue is within the original account. You can merge it with the new one and use it going forward.
- Choose Lists > Chart of Accounts.
- Make sure that the accounts you want to merge are at the same hierarchical level. How do I move an account? Drag and drop the account name to the level on the hierarchy where you want it to be. If you make a mistake, press Control-Z to undo the move.
- Select the account whose name you don't want to use for the merged account.
- Choose Edit at the bottom of the Chart of Accounts.
- Change the account name so that it is the same as the account you’re merging it with.
- Click OK.
- When prompted to merge the selected accounts, click Yes.
- Click Merge Accounts to confirm that you want to merge the two accounts.
