Uploading Bank Documents

Trying to use WebConnect to upload bank documents and the only option I see for downloading bank documents through my bank website is to download them in PDF. How do I change the format to be one of the ones below that QB accepts?

  • Comma-Separated Values (CSV). CSV files may require additional mapping. See Import bank transactions from Excel CSV file to QuickBooks Online for more information
  • Quicken (QFX)
  • QuickBooks Online (QBO)
  • Microsoft Money (OFX)

Uploading Bank Documents

Hi EmilyGale,

You can look for some converters online or you can search for a third-party app in the Apps page. Simply click the Apps menu in the left navigation bar and search for something like web connect, converter, bank transactions, etc.

Alternatively, you can manually enter your transactions in QuickBooks. Just open your bank register in the Chart of Accounts, and click the Add function below the DATE header.

Please go back to this thread if you have more questions.

@Lgratzer

Use MT Online or one of the converter tools (e.g csv2qbo).

Uploading Bank Documents

Hi Lgratzer,

To be able to convert and upload your bank statements is one of the important tasks in QuickBooks. I'm here to guide you through the process.

If your bank doesn't support CSV, QFX, QBO, and OFX file types, you can look for an application that converts the data into the mentioned documents. To look for one, you can click this link: Intuit Apps.

Once the transactions are in your QuickBooks account, you can categorize them to ensure they're on the correct accounts:
