Good morning, @hameednaushad.
Thanks for taking the time to follow along with the thread and sharing your concerns.
In QBO, you can export your reports and lists into individual Excel files contained in a zip format in just one process. You'll want to make sure to filter the date period to cover year-to-date transactions. Here's how (with screenshots included):
1. Go to the Gear icon.
2. Under Tools, select Export Data.
3. On the Reports tab, set the date range to year-to-date.
4. Add items from the Reports/Lists tabs by toggling the slider.
5. Press Export to Excel.
Please know that you'll need to export non-posting transactions and attachments separately since it doesn't include in the lists. You can follow the instructions listed in this article to do so: Export reports, lists, and more.
That should do the trick. However, if you still do not see the export option, this could be due to some issues with the cache of your browser. Web browsers collect cache to save time when loading repetitive data and images. Over time these files can become outdated and corrupted, causing issues like the one with your export option missing.
I've included the links for all supported browsers that contain the steps to clear the cache below.
After clearing the cache, please make sure to restart your browser so the changes can take effect.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions or concerns. I'm always happy to lend a hand. Take care!
I was already aware of how to export the data into excel files. This thread was specifically related to the error 1009 that I kept receiving when trying to create a US QB Desktop backup of a US QBO file. I can successfully perform this on other QBO files, I was getting an error when trying to assist a particular client.
I have no hope that anyone from QB will be able to assist me with this 1009 error and have moved on.
Any updates on this. I am consistently getting this error and its always at the same spot at 80%. Do you think its because we are not the admin of the file, as you specified earlier? I got admin privileges but I guess that is different since I cannot change subscriptions on the account for example.
I can see that it's a duplicate post, @otcpa.
My colleague Rea_M already provided an answer to your issue about migrating from QuickBooks Online (QBO) to QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT). You can refer to the resolution he shared in this post: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/account-management/re-qbo-to-qbd-issues/01/1267739....

Will this work with the UK versions?
Thanks for joining this thread, HHHLTD.
QuickBooks Online to QuickBooks Desktop is only available in US versions, you will need to look for a converter from a third-party application that will help you with the conversion.
Additionally, here's an article about import limitations for you to get a list of what's not converted in QBO: What to expect when you switch from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online.
I'll also be leaving you with a useful guide to help you through the whole process of moving your QuickBooks Desktop file to QuickBooks Online.
Keep your posts coming if you have additional questions on migrating and other QuickBooks-related queries. We're always available to assist you. Stay safe, HHHLTD.
Hi
i would like to transfer company file from QBO (UK) to QBD (UK)
Thank you for that quite wonderful response.
i would like to copy my entire company file rather than individual parts of it.
Can that be done?
Where is your company located? As I know, QB Desktop UK version has outdated.
Which QB Desktop year version do you have?
I know @Fiat Lux - ASIA can convert data from QB Online to QB Desktop.
I understand you want to migrate your company file from QuickBooks Online (QBO) to QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) UK, HHHLTD.
With recent changes, we have opted to discontinue all QBDT services for our UK customers. However, we recommend you find a third-party converter application to assist you with the conversion process.
You can read this article for further information: QuickBooks Desktop discontinuation support hub.
Additionally, you may notice differences in how your books appear when converting from QBO to QuickBooks Desktop. To learn about how your books move, please refer to this article: Learn How Features And Data Move From QuickBooks Online To QuickBooks Desktop.
