Web connect files won't open.

We got it fixed. Here was the solution to my problem.  Thanks for the help.

I am sending the steps on how to deactivate bank feeds for an Account

Quickbooks for Window's
  1. From the Lists menu, select Chart of Accounts.
  2. Right-click the account that needs to be deactivated then select Edit Account.
  3. Go to the Bank Feed Settings tab.
  4. Select Deactivate all online services. You should get a confirmation that you have just disabled one or more online services for the account but it does not cancel the services with the bank.
  5. Select OK then Save & Close.

Important! You need to delete or match any pending transactions in your Bank Feeds Center if you get the following warning message:

"There are currently online transactions or messages to send for this account. You cannot change the online information for this account until you send or delete any pending messages or transactions associated with this account."

Hi there, katoom.

An outdated QuickBooks release version and a damage company file component could be the factors affecting the issue. To fix this let’s update your QuickBooks version through the steps below:

Please make sure to back up your company file before doing so.

  1. Visit this link: https://downloads.quickbooks.com/app/qbdt/products
  2. Select the country, QuickBooks Desktop product, and the year version.
  3. Click Search and click the Get the Latest updates link next to Already downloaded.

Once done, try to open your Web connect file again. If the issue continues, I’d recommend performing the verify rebuild.

For the detailed instructions about this process, please check this article: https://community.intuit.com/articles/1774819-verify-and-rebuild-data-in-quickbooks-desktop.

Stay in touch if you have other concerns about the product.

I tried both of those and its still doing the exact same thing. This is a screen shot of what I'm seeing when I try to open it. As you can see there is nothing showing in the existing accounts.   2019-01-04 (1)_LI.jpg

I forgot to add this.  It will download if I let it create a new account. It just wont load them to my existing checking account.

Hi there, @katoom.

Thank you for getting back and providing extra details. I can help you resolve your Web connect issue in QuickBooks Desktop.

Since updating your QuickBooks and running the verify and rebuild tool didn't do the trick, I advise calling our Customer Care hotline. Checking the root cause of this requires tools, like screen sharing, that only the phone support team has and they can create an investigation ticket if there are other customers experiencing the same thing.

Here's how to get their updated contact number:

  1. Click this link: https://help.quickbooks.intuit.com/en_US/contactus.
  2. Select QuickBooks Desktop.
  3. Choose your QuickBooks for Windows version.
  4. Select the issue/topic.
  5. Click the Get Phone Number button to see the support number.

That should get you on the right path.

Let me know how it goes or if you have other concerns about banking. I'd be on a lookout for your reply. Have a good day ahead.
