Are customers able to pay invoices if they have a non-US bank account? I attempted to call Merchant Services with this question, but their response was since I wasn't listed as the Principal on our Merchant Services account they could not talk to me. (I'm listed as an Admin on our Merchant Services account, User/Admin/Owner on QBO account)
Customers can pay an invoice online using a non-US bank account. They'd simply fill out the information and complete the transaction just like any other payer. If a client is experiencing issues with making their payment, it's initially recommended that they reach out to their bank to confirm they're using the correct information.
Also, if the Principal listed on the merchant account is interested in adding yourself, or anyone else, as an authorized contact who can call in and speak with our Merchant Services Team, follow the steps outlined in this article: Add an authorized contact to a Merchant Services account
Hey, sophiamena. Thanks for responding. In the event that you need to change the Principal, you'd have to apply for a new account. The current account holder can close it if they wish, but there isn't a way to have the owner replaced with someone else.
I'd recommend contacting our support team, so that they can help you to begin this process. Just let them know that you want to apply for a new merchant account.
As additional option, explore this payment service to deal with multi currency transactions. You may release and get paid in USD, and your customer will pay it in their local currency. It supports QBO.
