Remove banking information

Hi beltwaychimney, thank you for posting here in the Community.

To assist you more accurately, could you please provide additional details about your concern? This will help us better understand the situation and offer the most effective solution to address it.

If you’re referring to disconnecting your bank account from QuickBooks Online (QBO), you can follow these steps:

  1. Go to Accounting, then select Bank Transactions.
  2. Click on the tile for the bank account you want to disconnect.
  3. Select the pencil (edit icon) and choose Edit Account Details.
  4. Tick the checkbox labeled Disconnect this account on save.

  5. Select Save and Close.

On the other hand, if your concern is about changing your bank information in QBO, you can either update the bank account details or modify your bank account sign-in information.

To change the bank details:

  1. Go to Accounting, then select Bank Transactions.
  2. Click on the tile for the bank account.
  3. Select the pencil (edit icon) and choose Edit Account Details.
  4. Enter the necessary changes, then select Save and Close.

To update the bank account sign-in information:

  1. Go to Accounting, then select Bank Transactions.
  2. Click on the tile for the bank account.
  3. Select the pencil (edit icon) and choose Edit Account Sign in.
  4. Enter your updated bank credentials, then select Save and Connect.

If your concern is related to receiving notifications about bank details being removed or changed, please note that only the admin can access and update bank information in your QBO account.

QuickBooks does not send email alerts regarding such changes, but you can verify any modifications by checking the Audit Log.

However, If you’ve received an email stating that your bank information in QBO has been changed, but you did not make any changes, we strongly advise you to report this immediately to the Intuit Online Security Center. This will help protect your account and prevent any potential security risks.

Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have further questions or need clarification.
