Setting up our new accounts, the banks worked fine but Paypal stopped syncing at 1/8/20, after several days it's not gone any further. Any idea what the issue is?

Hi there, kknuppowen-gmail.

Thanks for dropping by the Community this evening. Below I'm including a link that will help you with the PayPal connection process. It covers everything as well as what to do if some of your transactions aren't coming through.

Per the article, Check that the transaction is a 'balance affecting' transaction in PayPal and is not a hold/release.If you believe a transaction has been missed in error, reach out to our support team and provide the PayPal transaction ID.

If there's anything else I can help with, feel free to post here anytime. Thank you and have a nice evening.

It stopped importing at 1/8/20 with 350 transactions already. There are literally THOUSANDS that were not imported. A quick search through the community shows there are many, many people having this same issue.  QB obviously doesn't work with Paypal.  The canned response seems to be that there is a bug & they are working on it.  But that's what they've been saying for months.  Does QB ACTUALLY work with Paypal or do you just claim to to get the customers?  This is not a small problem for a small group, it's a major issue with QB that doesn't seem to be being addressed?

Hi kknuppowen-gmail,

I see how this affects small businesses, especially those relying on PayPal.

We want to assure you that we're working on the issues our clients face with syncing PayPal. In fact, this issue has been reported before, and we found out that this is triggered by merging accounts or deleting an account. Thus, our engineers need to resolve every QBO-affected company. That being said, please contact our QuickBooks Online Support team, so they can get your account information and check this further.

You can contact the team from 6 AM to 6 PM PT Monday through Friday.

  1. Go to Help (?) and select Contact Us.
  2. Enter something like PayPal stopped syncing since 01/08/20 (INV-46124) and click Let's talk.
  3. Choose a way to connect with us:
    • Start a chat with a support expert.
    • Get a callback from the next available expert.

I see that Nick gave you an article about PayPal. If you have questions about it or this issue, please do not hesitate to go back to this thread.

@kknuppowen-gmail

For the time being, utilize the trial period of these connector as the workaround.
