Welcome to the Community, @javiermjaar. I'm here to share information about the processing fees when using QuickBooks Payments.
Yes, you're right about the bank transfer (ACH) payments will be charged a 1% fee (max $10) per transaction. In your case, if you receive a transfer of $20,000, the fee would be calculated as 1% of $20,000, which is $200. However, since the maximum fee is $10 per transaction, you would only be charged $10 for this transfer.
Also, our funding speed and cost are updated to be in line with the market standards. For more details about this, check out these links for guidance:

Then why am I being over charged on all my ACH bank transfer fees. I’m being charged as high as 50 dollars for an 800 transaction. I need to speak to a representative I have screen shots and I am very upset. I now need to go through my entire books of 2024 and see how much I was over charged.
Hi, Patioheatersd. I understand your concern about the ACH bank transfer fees you’ve been charged. Let me provide some information on the fees and how you can get support to address this issue.
I recognize that you are already familiar with the ACH fee structure in QuickBooks Online, which charges 1% of the transaction amount, capped at $10 per transaction. I also appreciate the diligence you have shown in taking screenshots and meticulously reviewing your 2024 books to pinpoint the discrepancies. To assist you in resolving this, here are the steps you can follow:

Same! I have NEVER paid only $10. I had 3 transactions yesterday all over $10 and have had them also charge over $80 for a bank transfer. How many people are getting ripped off and still paying $400 a year for the basic service
Hi Faith,
I have QuickBooks Simple Start since 2023, and I have the same issue. The fees I pay to receive a bank transfer has never been capped at just $10 per transaction — I’ve always been charged 1% but with no limit. I noted all the instances of this, and reached out to QuickBooks customer service. However, the rep just said that there is no cap to the fee, and that the cap only applies to “old accounts” from before September 2023.
This is confusing to me, since here and in other Support threads from 2024 and 2025, QuickBooks employees are confirming the $10 cap. So what’s going on?
I’m curious — did you ever reach out Quickbooks to get a refund for the overcharges? I tried to but didn’t get very far… I was just told that there is no limit to the fee that is charge per transaction.
I was just charged $1,000 dollars on a transfer. Called and spoke with someone from Quicbooks and they told me they couldn’t help me that’s just the fee. Meanwhile, everything I read online and in the quicbooks online system tells me it should have been a max of only $10.00. Needless to say I’m extremely upset and need help contacting the correct person to help me resolve this issue!
I understand that changes to the transaction fees can be confusing, Weeden. Please know that the $10 ACH transaction fee you mentioned was part of a previous offer. Currently, ACH fees are set at a standard 1% per transaction, and transaction fees vary depending on the payment method used.
So, for example, if you use ACH as your payment method and process a total of $100,000 in transactions, the fee would be calculated as follows: $100,000 x 1% = $1,000. This $1,000 is your ACH transaction processing fee charge. You can check the QuickBooks Payment rate for specific payment methods and use the calculator to see the breakdown of the charges that will apply to your ongoing transaction at this link: Payment Rates.
If you prefer to discuss these fees with someone directly, I recommend reaching out to our live support team. They can provide you with more detailed information.
