When I update the transactions, I'm missing from April 2023 up to September 2023 transactions, why is that?

Hey there, arturobookkeeper. Let me provide some information regarding why it's unavailable to see your transactions.

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), the transactions will automatically download and can usually be seen in your account. Since other banks will let you download your transactions for up to 24 months and some only allow 90 days, this concludes that if you download your transactions, it will depend on your bank. This is why seeing your transactions from April 2023 up to September 2023 is unavailable.

If you want to get your older transactions, you'll have to manually upload it in QBO. To do so, you'll have to download the transactions first from your bank. Follow the instructions on how to download CSV files. After downloading, proceed to upload the transactions manually.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Transactions located in the left navigation panel, then click the Bank transactions
  2. Press the dropdown beside the Link account option.
  3. Select the Upload from the file
  4. Choose between Drag and drop or Select files
  5. If you choose Select files, select a file in your folder and click Open. And then click Continue.
  6. Follow the steps to match the columns on the file and then select Continue
  7. Choose transactions that you would like to import and then click Continue
  8.  Press Yes
  9. Click Done if when you already accepted your transactions.

You can also refer to this material if you want to learn more about how to get transactions from your bank or credit cards and manually import them into QBO: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.

After uploading your transactions, you can categorize your online bank transactions in QBO and reconcile them

If you have further concerns, please enter it in the comment section and we'd be happy to assist you.

@arturobookkeeper

You can use MT Online or one of the converter tools (e.g csv2qbo @ $60 one time license) as a workaround.
