Unfortunately that did not work. I've cleared my browser history, empty cache and tried the shortcut provided for Safari and it still disappears as soon as I assign it the person or business.

I have the same issue as the OP. As soon as a transaction is categorised as business, it disappears. I then have to find the transaction by guessing which category it was set to, and assign it to the correct category. It's really annoying and makes what should be a simple process become a hassle.
I normally use Firefox but have tried in Chrome and found exactly the same behaviour.

Since every bank connects to QuickBooks differently, there are times when crossing wires. QuickBooks may every so often download duplicate transactions. Here's what to do with redundant transactions and how to avoid them in the future: Manage double transactions.
Please let me know how everything goes or if you encounter any difficulties after completing those steps. Leave a comment below, and I'll respond right away. Have your day splendidly.
I am SO grateful that you responded because I have been battling quickbooks for over 4 months over this. They told me that it is an issue on my end and everything on their end is working as it's supposed to. I'm beyond frustrated that I'm paying for a service that isn't working correctly.
Frustrating issue, isn't it! I can only imagine that a 4 month wait is extremely frustrating!
I do not believe for one second that it is a problem with the end-user. I am a web developer and I used an Firefox extension to show what calls (requests to web servers) Quickbooks is making upon categorising a transaction as either business or personal.
Several calls are made by the code. These will determine how the page reloads or what it does with the transaction in question after it has been categorised.
It's fair to say that sometimes extensions to browsers do interfere with normal behaviour. To eliminate this as a possibility I've tried Chome (where I have no extensions installed) and Firefox in a private window (which disabled any installed extensions) and I noticed the same behaviour in both cases.
I do not accept any claims that this is the way the bank loads transactions into Quickbooks, the users temporary internet files, blah blah blah.
I believe this is an issue in the code and am baffled as to why they have left you waiting for 4 months over this!
Personally, if this isn't resolved, I'll be switching to Xero.
I am also experiencing this issue. It seemed to have happened out of nowhere. My current workaround is to just use the self-employed app. Although I do prefer to work on my laptop when I have the time at home. It's frustrating. Any kind of update?

As of August 2023, it is still not rectified. I had several assistants on the Quickbooks end try to tell me it was isolated to me, but I knew it wasn't through speaking with others. It's still an issue and I'm told it will basically stay this way. So so frustrating.
Yes, as of today, this is still an issue and I will be looking to move my book keeping to another service. Absolutely blew my mind how much time they spent telling me it was an error isolated to me only. This is a service that we pay money for. Our businesses depend on it. For that reason, I'll be looking to move on. It's weekly frustration for a year!
I'm sorry to say don't plan on it changing anytime soon. This has been a year long battle for me. They spent 4 months telling me it was an issue isolated to me, even though I had spoken with others who were experiencing it as well. After going out of my way to prove it wasn't isolated, I was basically told it's just the way it is. I will be moving my bookkeeping. I can't imagine paying for and depending on a service for my business that doesn't work properly any longer. I need a reliable service for my business. That is what we're paying for after all, right? Good luck!
I have this same issue. It's when you have it filtered to "unreviewed". For whatever reason, there's no delay in removing it from the filter. I'd like just 20-30 seconds so I can add appropriate tags and categorize properly. If you work within "all transactions", you won't have the issue, but that's also frustrating because you have to sort through all of the transactions that have already been sorted.
Thank you for acknowledging that! Yes, you're having the same issue as me. You can't sort by only "unreviewed" because if you do, they disappear as soon as you choose business or personal. You wouldn't believe how long I argued with quickbooks about this. One person told me it was just me/user error. One told me "it's always been that way". The multiple bogus responses I got back were wild and I can't believe it's still an issue. Now we have to look at ALL of the transactions and waste our time finding the unreviewed ones in the mix, just to get them done. So frustrating....
