This isn't the experience we want you to have, @cityballet. Rest assured that I'm here to ensure this banking issue gets investigated.
When using QuickBooks, it's important to be aware that your bank account may be disconnected for a variety of reasons. This could occur due to changes in your bank information, updates on your bank's website, modifications to your online banking login credentials, or during bank outages and maintenance periods.
Given your current situation, you can consider manually updating the bank account in the program. By doing so, you can re-establish the connection and ensure that your financial data remains accurate and up-to-date. To do that, here's how:
- Go to the Transactions menu.
- Select Bank transactions.
- Click Update at the top.
Moreover, let's ensure there are no issues with your bank's website. To start, please provide me with the specific URL that QuickBooks utilizes to establish a connection.
- From the Transactions menu, select Bank Transactions.
- Select Link account.
- Look for your bank and click it.
- Copy the URL listed for your bank.
- Sign in to your bank website using the copied URL.
Furthermore, I suggest reaching out to Truist Bank and inquiring to them if there is something that they need to configure to maintain the connection.
Once everything is good, you can review and compare your transactions to your bank and credit card statements to make sure they match. For more detailed instructions, please refer to these resources:
