Instant deposit feature is now available in QuickBooks Online (QBO). If you have a QuickBooks Payments account, you can request an instant deposit to collect customer payments into your bank account in just a few minutes. I'm here to share with you the details.
First, I recommend following these steps to request an instant deposit. You can do it before 3 PM PT to get your money on the same day. After 3 PM PT, the system process any remaining payments at the normal speed.
Once done, you’ll see the money in your bank account in minutes. It may take up to 30 minutes depending on your bank. Also, an email notification will be sent to you after the amount is deposited.
Aside from that, you can also set an automatic or schedule instant deposits for certain days of the week. I'm adding this link as your reference: Get instant deposits in QuickBooks Online.
Just in case you're running into issues while working with instant deposits in the future, you can check out the troubleshooting steps provided from this article as your guide in fixing the errors: Get help with instant deposits.

Did you read what I wrote? I have been receiving the instant deposits but every week there is a day they stop giving them and then they begin grouping them together to be processed at standard processing times. I don’t want that. I am adhering to the rules like the 2pm - 3pm hour etc…. Why are ALL my payments now not being processed instantly? Understanding not all are going to be instant…. Some should be!
I can share some additional information about instant deposits, @jglubke.
Yes, payments you've received between 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM (PST) can't be scheduled for instant deposits. It'll be deposited at the normal speed.
Please take note that not all payments are eligible for instant deposits. QuickBooks checks every transaction for eligibility and only shows eligible payments as part of your available funds.
Deposit times may vary for third party delays. For more information, you can review your merchant agreement.
You may also request a one-time instant deposit or schedule instant deposits for certain days of the week. Check this article for more information: Get instant deposits in QuickBooks Online. It'll also show you how to review instant deposits and related fees.
I'd recommend contacting our Merchants Services Support Team if the payment is still not deposited within the specified time frame. Since they can request account information, this team is the best resource for such questions. They can also check on the payment's status and look into why it hasn't yet been placed into your account.
Let me know if you still have follow-up questions about customer payments or any other concerns. I'll be there to help in any way I can. Have a wonderful day!
