Why is Amazon business importing transactions from my personal account? I installed the Amazon Business app, connected it to my business account.

I have connected QB to Amazon Business and when I look at the downloaded transactions they are also pulling from my personal account.  I haven't even entered the UN/PW for my personal account, so not sure how this is happening.

Hi westridge-packw,

Thank you for letting us know about the behavior of your connected Amazon account to QuickBooks.

It would be best to contact Amazon about this situation to know why they are sending your personal transactions to QuickBooks even if you've only connected your business account. QuickBooks only shows the transactions being sent by the financial institutions and has no control over the accounts nor will breach any other accounts of a client.

On the other hand, you can exclude the transactions that don't belong to your business to prevent errors in your reports.

Please don't hesitate to go back to this thread if you have any other questions in mind. Take care and have a good one!

Hey Jess,

I have a similar situation to this and was hoping you could weigh in.

I have a business account and a personal account at the same credit union. Up until the other day, I had my personal accounts added to my home screen in the business accounts home page so that I could see all the balances for these accounts in one place. When I linked my business account to quickbooks and was categorizing transactions while referencing my transactions in my bank account, I realized that a lot of the transactions were from my personal account.

Could it be the same situation as this, that it is my credit union sending the extra info because the accounts were linked, and not an error on the quickbooks side of things? If so, how would I go about requesting that they shut down that connection? I have already de-linked the accounts in my online banking portal, and de-linked and re-linked the accounts in quickbooks, but the transactions still show up. I have excluded them for now, but would like to fix this so it doesn't keep popping up and throwing my books off.

Thanks,

Lee
