This problem needs to be resolved.  and needs to be given high priority. this is one of many problems with this online version of quickbooks.   At the least Should be able to change the font color so it is readable. 

Very disappointed in this product. Very disappointed in intuit lack of response to may complaints about the same issue.

I have a huge problem with the gray font with gray background. I can’t see the register text! I don’t understand? Who made this decision. It’s almost impossible to read the register. Just make it the same as Quickbooks desktop register. The font needs to be BLACK so we can easily see it..    Get back to basics! We were  forced to transition from Quickbooks desktop and we now need qb online to be just as easy to read. Just use black text. It’s a very easy solution and won’t be difficult for programmers to change.   This is really a TOP TOP priority..   BLACK text.  Get rid of the gray text !!  When can we expect someone to address this issue? Can someone please acknowledge that this is being worked on?

2. Enter your comment in the description field, then hit Next. 
3. Enter your email address as an additional information.

If you need to change the font color of your sales forms, we can start with the layout and the design of your template. As you make changes, you'll see a preview of the changes in the template. Here's how: 

1. Go to the Gear icon on the top menu and then select Custom form styles.
2. Click New style and select the type of form you’d like to create a template for.
3. Tap Design and give your template a name.
4. Select Try other colors to pick a color scheme. You can enter a HEX code (the six-digit combination of numbers and letters for a color) for a truly custom color.
5. Choose the color you want to be applied to the template. 
6. Select Select a different font to change the font and size.
7. Click Edit print settings to adjust the margins. This is important if you send printed forms to your customers.
8. Press Done.
