How do I revert back to old view of the Sales Transaction page?

QB Online recently "upgraded" me to new views of various pages, including Sales Transactions. This is not at all helpful, as once useful views and information are now gone. For example, for Unbilled income, the previous view allowed for a single, at-a-glance summary view of unbilled activities by customer right from the dashboard. It also allowed you to generate an invoice right from the unbilled task summary row. Super, super helpful! Now it lists all activities and makes you sort by customer, removing the ability to see a summary of all open, unbilled activities by customer on one page. I don't want to sort, total columns myself, or have to create a customer report.

It is my opinion that this product continues to get worse due to poor design, use case planning, and testing.

How do I revert back to old view of the Sales Transaction page?

It took some time, but I was able to find the original view of summarized unbilled totals by customer (I am unable to revert to classic view for Sales Transactions, it seems that ship has sailed). Here's how you get what you need here:

From within Sales, you used to go to All Sales and then click on the Unbilled bar and it would summarize your open unbilled income by customer and provide a handy invoice button so that you could quickly and easily do EOM billing from one place. To accomplish this same task/view now, you go to Sales, then click on Customers (instead of All Sales) and click the Unbilled bar. This will provide the summary you need to issue each customer a single end of month invoice from a single screen.

Hope this helps!

How do I revert back to old view of the Sales Transaction page?

We understand that every business has different needs, 78910. I'm here to share insights about the new product experience in QuickBooks Online.

As QuickBooks works towards improving user experience for company users, the modern view of the sales transaction page and other new configurations are currently part of the beta testing, which involves a gradual rollout to gather user feedback and make any required enhancements. This approach ensures the program's performance is optimized before a full release, aiming to provide all users with a polished and problem-free experience.

With that said, you have the option to revert to the old experience at any time by clicking on the Beta tag and choosing Exit Beta.

We also appreciate your relevant suggestions and would be delighted to receive them. I recommend sending this feedback directly to our product developers. This will help us incorporate a seamless and convenient experience into future product updates. To provide feedback on this Beta experience, click the Beta tag and select Give Feedback.

You may also submit feedback through these steps:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Feedback.
  2. Enter your product suggestions or feedback.
  3. Then, click Next to submit.

Moreover, you can run specific reports in your account to help you review your business finances and other data.

We'll always be around in this forum if you require additional assistance managing your account. Feel free to reply below, and we'll ensure to get you covered. Keep safe!
