inactivating old customers

I am in the process of inactivating old customers.  We are using Enterprise.  This has not been done for several years and we have thousands of customers so the task is enormous.  Is there any way to create a report by which I can choose customers by date of last purchase and $0 balance?

As the first option, you should consider to condense your company file.

I can help you pull up a report that will give you the data of the customers who haven't made any purchases in the previous or current years, @cmjarrett.

You can pull up the Sales by Customer Summary and sort the Show Columns dropdown by Date, Week, Month, or Year. I'll show you how.

  1. Go to the Reports menu, click Sales, and choose Sales by Customer Summary.
  2. Set the dates in the Show Columns drop-down.
  3. If the column shows an amount, click it to see when it was created. If the column shows zero balance, it means there's no transaction created.

Furthermore, you can memorize the report to save its current customization settings and easily access it in the future.
