Management Reports

It's great to have you here in the Community forum, WMThopkins. I'd be happy to assist you with updating the details in your management report in QuickBooks.

Before we start, can you share more details about the captions that aren't displayed correctly in QuickBooks? I just want to make sure we're on the same page so I can provide an accurate resolution.

In QuickBooks Online, you can edit management reports to add, reorder, and include notes, among other options. Then, it contains several reports for easy viewing and sharing with your company or associates.

Here's an overview of what you can edit in your management reports:

1. From Management reports, select the Action dropdown for a report, then click Edit.
2. You can change the Template name or the Report period on the screen that appears. 
3. Then, choose from the side panel to edit the details of your report:

• Cover page
• Table of contents
• Preliminary pages
• Reports
• End note
• Advanced

     4 . Click Save and close.

I have attached the standard statement of activity ran for the month of November and then the standard statement of activity report ran with the management report.  The changed captions are highlighted as well as noted as being not updated in the management report. 

@JoesemM  All of the steps provided have been followed, however the changes are not occurring.

I completely understand that you may be looking for guidance on how to update captions in a financial management report, and I am here to help. 

Please take note that editing the account title will only take effect for the Custom report and the QBO will use the default one when creating/pulling up a Management report.

1. Select the Gear icon, then choose Feedback.

2. Enter your comments or product suggestions.

3. Select Next to submit.

As an alternative solution, you can update the account title by following these steps:

1. Go to Reports.
2. From Management reports, select the Action dropdown for a report, then select Export as DOCX.
3. And from there you edit or update title.
