Additional User License

I have a 1 user license of 2020 Premier edition. How do I buy additional 2 user licenses, and what will be the cost?

I already called the US line, but I was told they attend to US customers only. I am from Nigeria.

Additional User License

You are using an outdated version. As I know, they only accept to purchase additional license seat for supporting versions (i.e QBD 2021-2023). You should consider to purchase a new license for QB Desktop 2023 Pro Plus for 3 users or QB Desktop Premier Plus for 3 users. If you are located in Nigeria, you can buy the new license through partners if required.

If you're using a QBDT for the US version, you have the option to add a user license for up to 5 users for QBDT Premier. However, Fiat Lux - ASIA is correct that you can only purchase additional user licenses for supported versions (QBDT 2021–2023).

 

Follow these steps to find the price and purchase the user license:

 

  1. Go to Help menu, then select Manage My License and Buy Additional User License.
  2. Select Add Seats Online for current pricing.
  3. Choose if you want to buy licenses online or by phone. Follow directions on how to add user licenses.
  4. Install QBDT on additional computers based on the number of licenses you have.
  5. After you install, follow the prompts to activate QBDT.

Adding more users depends on the current version you have. If you're subscribed to QBDT Premier, it lets five users work in the same company file, while QBDT Pro allows three users to access your books simultaneously.

 

To determine the exact price of an additional license, you can follow these steps:

 

  1. Open the QuickBooks Desktop program.
  2. Go to Help and then select Manage My License.
  3. Select Buy Additional User License.
  4. Hit Add Seats Online to view the current pricing.

 

Once you're ready to add another user, I suggest performing the instructions below. Beforehand, please note that you can only purchase additional licenses for supported versions.
