Features missing or not working in the mobile app

We encountered significant issues with features missing or not working in the QBO mobile app. These problems have been persistent and have created several operational challenges:

 

  1. Missing Invoice Customization:

The mobile app does not appear the same as the desktop and lacks the ability to fully customize invoices, unlike the desktop version. This limitation forces the team to wait until they are back at the office to send tailored invoices to clients.

Features missing or not working in the mobile app

Before doing so, can you tell me what other features that are missing or not working in your mobile app? One of the key challenges you’ve highlighted is the missing invoice customization feature.

 

To rectify this, let's clear the stored cache and refresh your mobile app data to update your application and fix any minor issues in the system. Just like the web version, the QuickBooks Online app also stores cache. However, it can impact processes and cause this unexpected behavior when your browser accumulates too much historical data.

 

Here's how to clear the cache: 

 

  1. Close and restart the app.
  2. Open your device Settings.
  3. Select Apps.
  4. Choose the QuickBooks app from the list, then select Storage.
  5. Select clear data.
  6. Power down and restart your device again.

 

After that, let's refresh the app data. For Android, follow the steps below:

 

  1. Go to Menu ☰, then select More Options ⋮.
  2. Tap Settings, and click Refresh Data.
  3. Tap YES to confirm.

 

For iOS:
 

  1. Go to Settings, then tap General.
  2. Tap iPhone Storage, then tap the QuickBooks Online app.
  3. Tap Offload App.
  4. This will free up the storage without deleting your app's documents and data.

 

If the same thing happens, you can uninstall and reinstall the mobile app to avoid these unusual behaviors and start fresh.


Moreover, the QBO mobile app and web version have some differences due to the limitations and design considerations of mobile devices compared to desktop browsers.

 

Thus, I recommend sending feedback to our product development team. They will carefully review your feedback, identify areas that require enhancements, and consider incorporating them into future releases.
