Does anyone know if it is Possible to integrate Quickbooks with Microsoft Power BI in such a way that we can see the invoicing data on quickbooks to our Dashboard on Power BI?
For example all the status of our invoices, such as pending, paid, etc, being displayed on the dashboard.
If anyone can help with this would be great.
Good news, @ZNS1.
QuickBooks Online (QBO) lets you connect with Microsoft Power BI. All you have to do is sync the app into QBO. Let me walk you through how.
With these steps, you're able to sync the app to QBO. You can learn more about this app at this link here: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/app/apps/appdetails/powerbi/en-us/.
I'll also share with you our page about apps just in case you need some reference to app-related concerns.

Hi @ShiellaGraceA!
Does QuickBooks Desktop allow us to connect to Microsoft Power BI as well?
Thanks!
I would recommend another BI app to integrate with QBD. The fee is lower and it offers many features.
Is it possible to integrate QuickBooks Desktop version with Power BI?
If so, does it sync well?
Thanks.
Good to see you again, @serghio. Thanks for joining the thread and for posting a question. I'll share some suggestions to help you achieve your goal.
You may want to find some third-party applications that allow you to pull raw data from various sources and create meaningful reports in the Apps for QuickBooks Desktop webpage or by following this link: https://desktop.apps.com/home.
Once on the page, follow the steps below:
You can utilize this article to customize any report: Customize reports in QuickBooks Desktop.

@ serghio
I am currently using Power BI with QBO.
1. Log into your QBO account first.
2. Launch Power BI Desktop & choose Get Data; in the search window type in Quickbooks
3. Select QBO Beta and connect.
This will download all tables and does not download GeneralLedger table.
For that you will need to create a blank query next:
Power BI Desktop ---> Transform Data--->New Source ---->Blank Query:
insert the following and it will take you to a list of tables and click on GeneralLedger :
= Source{[Key="generalledger"]}[Data]
Thank you. Does anyone know if Power BI also connects with QuickBooks Desktop version?
Thanks for the feedback James but I would llke to specifically found out if Power BI is able to connect to QuickBooks DESKTOP version and if so, if it works well. Thanks.
Thank you. Do you know if Power BI connects to QuickBooks DESKTOP version?
Hi there, serghio.
Allow me to share some information about connecting Power BI to QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).
Currently, the option to connect Power BI to QuickBooks Desktop is unavailable. As a workaround, you can utilize a third party that integrates with QBDT.
You can visit the QuickBooks Apps site and look for an app that meets your business needs. Another way is by going to the Apps menu on the left panel.
In case, you'll want to personalize and add specific info to your invoice and other form styles in QuickBooks Desktop To know more about it, you can check out the detailed steps in this article: Use and customize form templates.
Please don't hesitate to get back here if you have clarification about this. I'm just around the corner to help. Have a good one and keep safe.
OK good to know it does not work with QBDT. Thank you.
I know I'm late to this party, but it will hopefully assist anyone looking for help, and the following solution should work as the initial OP was an online query, not QuickBooks Desktop.
Tugger offer a free trial, and report templates that can be used to import data via an OData link.
They only recently added support for QuickBooks and although I'm not an accountant, I come to this from the technical side, everything looking good so far.
Setup is pretty straightforward: sign up > add your connector > wait for it to get your data > download the report template > import your data > Voila, a working report.
They are easy to find via Google, but here's the link: https://tuggerapp.com/QuickBooksIntegration.
