Is QBDT ending in 2023?

They just released QBD 2022 which has now gone to subscription only.  Intuit sold $1.9B in QB Desktop and related supplies in 2021, so there's no way that's going anywhere.  And, now that it is subscription-based, revenues for their desktop product will only go up. 

QB Desktop is so ingrained in so many industries that it would be almost impossible for them to do that.  QB Enterprise and Accountant are desktop products.  QB Point of Sale only integrates with QB Desktop, so that would create a wave of very angry POS users.  This is all my opinion, of course, but that rumor seems to be flying around.  They do discontinue support for older versions of Desktop but I have yet to see anything that states that QB Desktop, as a whole, is going the way of the dinosaur.  And, it is a far superior product to QB Online IMO.

They just stopped supporting QBD UK version until January 2023. You can still purchase the one time license for QBD 2021 US Pro and they will support it until May 2024.

The release dates are already out, and users are wondering when they can eyeball it. Well! The release will be available for:

• Accountants: September 6, 2022.

• General Release: September 20, 2022.

This is not true.  Quickbooks just removed my desktop version somehow.  And I can no longer read my backups without it!!  This is theft at it's finest.

I recommend contacting our QB Desktop Support team about your scenario. That way, they can review your account in a more secure environment and find options, so you can access your backups. You may also be able to find a ProAdvisor near you who has the older versions of QuickBooks.

1. Go to Help, then select QuickBooks Desktop Help/Contact Us.
2. Select Contact Us.
3. Give a brief description of your issue, then select Continue.
4. Sign in to your Intuit account and select Continue and then Continue with my account.
5. We'll email you a single-use code. Enter your code and select Continue.
6. Select to chat with us or Have us call you.

QB Desktop US version? Login to your CAMPS as the Primary Contact to check your license status.

I have the 2021 disk for quickbooks desktop but when I try to access it, it says that I do not have access to it.  Why and how did QB's remove software from MY computer?:?

Can you login to your CAMPS as the Primary Contact and find your license code there?

Yes, we do see our licenses there, but in other countries, QBDT is gone and they use QBO or other accounting software.
