Let me help you from here, Roberto Verde.
You can pull up the Deposit Detail report instead. It will provide you money in transactions. Here's how:
You can also customize the report. It will help you focus on the details that matter to you.

I'd create a report.
Start on the Reports menu and pick Custom Reports | Transaction Detail Report.
Then on the Filters tab, set the Account = the bank account and pick Yes, for Include split detail.
Then add the Names filter and set the name to the desired vendor name.
The resulting report will show one row for each deposit line for the vendor in the date range of the report.
ok – I did this, but it only shows money out (checks, etc), not money in (deposits)
What am I missing. I followed your steps exactly.

this is working well except for if I filter by name.
as soon as I filter by one of the names, the entire report goes blank.
If I show the detail of a single deposit it us the field title "Received From" but I cannot filter by that.
How do I filter this DEPOSIT DETAIL report to just show a single vendor?
Many thanks!
I had to delete a few of the default filters and modify the transaction type from ALL to DEPOSIT but I eventually got this working
many thanks to all
