Send Invoices Through Text Message?

QuickBooks offers a user-friendly method for sending invoices to your customers. You can send a transaction link via SMS to your customers so they can view their invoices from there.

Here's how:

1. On the invoice screen, click the Save and share link.
   
2. Click the Copy link button.
   
3. You can send the link via SMS to your customers.

Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it. I do like texting my invoices, but I was also looking for an app that can integrate with QBO and send automated invoices through text message? Anything along those lines

QuickBooks integrates with multiple third-party apps. At this time, you can look a supported one that'll help you achieve your goal through the app center or from the Apps tab.

To look for an application using the app store:

1. Open this link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/app/apps/home.
2. Set the US as a country/region.
3. Search for an application from the search field.

From the Apps tab:

1. Open your QuickBooks Online account, then go to the Apps tab at the left pane.
2. Look for an application from the Find Apps column.

Aside from emailing invoices, you can also print them by following the instructions from this article: Print Invoices.

It's on the Quickbooks App Store, has great reviews, and I'm currently using it so I highly recommend! Not sure why the QuickBooks Team isn't knowledgeable about the apps in their own app store, they should be promoting this to their customers! It has helped me tremendously with my small business.

I've found a great way to send invoices over text. I use MessageDesk.com. This company integrates with QBO and makes it super easy to text invoices and even schedule them. 

I get paid faster using MessageDesk especially because clients usually check their texts more frequently than email.

Here's how:

Go to the Invoices menu at the left pane.
Look for the invoices and click the Send link under the Action column.
Enter the necessary information, and then tap Send when you're ready.

Once done, you can copy the link from your email and send them via text message 

Alternatively, you can visit our QuickBooks App Center to find a third-party application that can directly send invoices to your customers using text messages or SMS.

That doesn’t work for me. I have tried many times and it always fails. I can copy the link with no problem but I can’t send the link. The video from quickbooks ends after you click copy. It doesn’t do any good to copy the link when all you can do is open the link on your own device but can’t actually text it to your customers.

Currently, we are unable to send an invoice directly through text message. Although, the option given is not direct from QuickBooks Online (QBO) through SMS. However, you can use the Save and Share link option to send an invoice link to your customers by SMS so they can view and pay their invoices.

While considering your suggestions, I also recommend you send this feedback directly to our product engineers. Doing so will enable us to comprehend what features business owners demand to conveniently use the product. Here’s how:

1. Go to the Gear icon.
2. Select Feedback.
3. Enter a brief description of your product suggestion.
4. Click Next to submit feedback.

Once your clients decide to pay, you can start recording and receiving invoice payments in your company file to keep your records in shape.

question, do you have to use your cell phone number? or do they issue you a testing number?

Sending links via SMS is a great functionality offered by QuickBooks Online, cbroofing.

When using the Save and share link feature, you can use your phone number to send the invoice's link to your customer. I'll show you how to do it:

1. Go to the + New button, then select  Invoice.
2. From the Customer drop-down menu, select a customer. 
3. Enter the necessary information.
4. Select the Save and share link button from the drop-down arrow.
5. Click the Copy link button, then paste and send it via SMS.
   

Alternatively, you can utilize different messaging platforms like Messenger, Viber, and others to send the message.

Once your customer pays an invoice, record the payment to balance your accounts and ensure your books are accurate.

can we send Invoices through sms in Pakistan I have tried zapier but it only supports UK and US only

They can then view the entire contents of their invoice from there. With this, yes, you can deliver invoices through SMS in Pakistan as long as you copy the correct URL to the relevant phone number.

Additionally, you can also visit the Apps menu within QBO so you're able to see hundreds of apps that you can integrate into QuickBooks. This way, it'll help you directly send invoices through sms in Pakistan.

Here's how:

1. From the left menu, select Apps.
2. Go to the Find apps tab.
3. Enter the app name in the search bar or select the Browse category dropdown arrow menu to find a specific app.
4. Once you find the app, click Get App Now.

Currently, this functionality is only available in the QuickBooks Online version. I recommend providing feedback about this to help our engineers enhance your experience when using the software. Here's how:

1. Go to the Help menu, then hit Send Feedback Online. 
2. Select Product Suggestion.                                                                                                                                                                           
3. Enter your suggestion "Send invoices through text messages (SMS)".
4. Fill in all the needed information.
5. Once done, click on Send Feedback.

Is there a way to send an invoice via text without an email address?

For the time being, the ability to send invoices through text is unavailable in QBO. I can see how you would want to have this feature as this is undeniably convenient and would benefit not just you, but other users as well. 

That being said, let's send this feature request to our Product Developers so they can consider adding this in future updates. 

Here's how:

1. Click the Gear icon in the upper-right corner.
2. Select Feedback under Profile.
3. Share your feedback.
4. Click Next to submit.

Another easy way to share your feedback is to enter it through this link: QuickBooks Online Feature Requests.

In the meantime, you can consider sharing your invoice link with your customers through text. Here's how:

Additionally, when the email address that you're referring to is the Customer-facing email, please know that this can't be removed as this comes with the invoice, indicating that it's from the specific company. You can however change it, as a workaround.
