Hello there, CDXOFVA.
Some of the features are not yet integrated with the QBO mobile app. That includes the payroll reports. You can use this link to see what features are available in the mobile version: Compare mobile app features.
For now, you'll have to access your QBO account through a browser if you want to see the payroll reports.
You can also share your experience with our Development Team by sending feedback through the article.
They might evaluate and put it into consideration for product updates.
Feel free to get back to us if you need anything else. Have a great day!
I'm using the Desk-top App version Version 4.2.1-79 (4.2.1-79.79) for Mac OS 10.13.4, not the mobil app for iPhone or iPad and the "Payroll Summary" Reports were fully functional as of 2 weeks ago when I printed them off after that last payroll period and all times previously. Now its just a blank screen after the screen refreshes.
Hi there, CDXOFVA.
I'll make that you can successfully view your employee and payroll reports.
This is probably caused by the stored junk files in the system. We can perform some basic troubleshooting steps to rectify this issue. First, let's refresh your QBO app by clicking Help, and then Reset App Data.
Alternatively, we can clear the cache to remove the temporary files and reset the application to its default state. Here's how:
Lastly, if the issue still persists, we'll have to uninstall and reinstall the QBO application. Here's the link to reinstall the app: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/apps/. Just scroll down to the Get the QuickBooks Mac or Windows App section, then click the Free Download button.
I also encourage running these popular custom reports to get awesome insights about your business.
You can always find me here if you have any other concerns or follow-up questions. Assistance is just a post away.
I have been having this issue for over a month. I cannot view any payroll reports in my desktop online app. I order to do my work I have to leave the app and long in through the internet. Non of your suggestions to fix the issue have worked. And of course now QuickBooks does not offer phone support.
Welcome to the Community, bishki.
Currently, an ability to view payroll reports is unavailable in our QuickBooks Mac & Windows Desktop Apps. I can certainly see how this could be a useful feature for yourself/others and have submitted feedback to Intuit's Product Development Team about it.
If you'd like to request features, you can do so by following the steps provided by my colleague, JamesDuanT. Your suggestions are definitely valuable to Intuit. Submitting them ensures they'll be taken into consideration in future updates.
I'll be here to help if there's any other questions. Enjoy the rest of your day!
I am having the exact same problem and I have not reached a solution using the above mentioned fixes. I did see the response QuickBooks and I hope they resolve this issue soon.

I have multiple clients in my QuickBooks online account and the payroll reports feature works on all of them except for one. I get the blank screen on that particular client.
Hello there, @fryan762.
Blank page display on your client is possibly caused by too many cache files in your browser. Let's perform a basic browser troubleshooting to isolate the issue.
Please refer to these shortcut keys to open an incognito window in all supported browsers:
You can use other supported browsers.
If this works, go back to your regular browser to clear the cache storage.
If the issue persists, consider contacting our QuickBooks Online Support Team. They can check on your account to further investigate the issue and provide you the necessary steps to be taken.
It would be my pleasure if I can extend some additional help. Have a great day!
Did anyone ever get a solution to this issue? It seems like it started with the last update of the desktop app..
Hi @mal5,
I'll share an update on this specific issue you have with the QuickBooks Online (QBO) Desktop app.
I've checked and found out that there's an open investigation for your specific concern. With that said, I suggest you contact our Technical Support team so they can add you to the list of our affected users. That way, you can receive notification emails whenever an update is available.
Refer to this article for the steps on how you get a hold of Technical Support: QuickBooks Online Support. It also lists the hours of operations, so you're aware when our Technical Support teams are available.
While waiting for the fix, I suggest you use a browser when you're working with your books.
You can direct other concerns you may have in the comments. I'll be sure to take care of it.
I have the same problem. Except my browser notifies me that there's a script error on the page. When I allow my antivirus to stop the script, the reports populate instantly. So I don't believe its a cache or junk file issue, it's a script error.
Has anyone had the issue with payroll report blank screens resolved?
I have some information to share with you, @INRN.
The issue with the payroll report blank screens was already resolved. Do you still encounter this concern on your end?
You can try performing some troubleshooting steps mentioned by my colleagues in the thread. If the same things happen, it would be best to reach out to our Technical Support team to reinvestigate this matter.
Here's how:
In case you need more information about your business and employees, check this payroll reports article in QuickBooks.

I am still having this issue and when I contact support they never get it fixed. They act like they never heard of it before. I have cleared, reinstalled, refreshed, ..... done all the things suggested here, but its still happening.
Good morning, @Pdickson.
Thanks for joining in on this thread and adding some clarification about what you've done to help fix this problem. I can provide you with some additional information on this matter.
Have you tried using a different computer when opening the payroll reports in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) Desktop app? If not, I suggest trying another computer. This will eliminate some of the issues that can be causing this problem to occur.
However, if this doesn't work, I recommend contacting our Customer Support Team again. They'll be able to use a screen share tool to review your account further. Here's how:
Afterward, you'll receive an estimated time of when they will be in touch with you. In addition, you can check out our tutorials page to see other available features in your account.
