Adjusted Service Date

In an Employee set-up window, on the Employment Info tab, is the field ADJUSTED SERVICE DATE.  What is this field's use?  Can it be used as a re-hire date.

Adjusted Service Date

I have some information to share with you about the Adjusted Service Date in QuickBooks, @2dayistheday.

Adjusted Service Date means the most recent date of hiring an employee. It reflects proper periods of service. And yes, you can use it as a rehire date for your employee.

To calculate the employee’s service date, you need to enter the employment period. This will help you to determine the time of service in days, months, and years. Then, from the most recent hire date, subtract the amount of time to find out the adjusted service date.

Here’s an equation to help you understand how the Adjusted Service Date is based on: Rehire date Prior years of service = Adjusted service date.

Iva attached some resources here for additional information on how to manage employees in your payroll service:

You can leave a message below if you have additional questions or concerns with your employees employment information. I’ll be here. Always take care!
