Thanks for visiting the Community today, @souderse. Direct deposits with incorrect bank routing numbers may be declined by the bank

When the employee's routing number is incorrect. The money will be refunded to your bank account within 5-7 banking days after the payment date.

Additionally, Intuit will send a notification as soon as the bank rejects DD and returns the funds. Otherwise, I'd suggest tracking the funds and their status directly with the bank.

Moving forward, you can follow the steps below to update your employee’s direct deposit account information to ensure your employee will get paid on time on the next payroll.

Here's how:

  1. Go to the Employees menu, then click Employee List.
  2. Double-click the name of the employee you want to edit, then select the Payroll Info tab.
  3. Chose Direct Deposit.
  4. Update the Routing No. and Account No. fields.
  5. Hit OK twice.
