Buy nowHello @roderickbumpas,
941 Form is created base on the payroll information and paycheck details you've entered on file, editing it is unavailable. You'll want to print a blank 941 form from the IRS and manually enter your payroll details.
In addition, here's an article you can read to learn more about your 941 payroll form: How QuickBooks Populates The 941?
Lastly, I've got you the following articles below for ideas about how you can manage your payroll tasks: Help Articles for QuickBooks Online Payroll.
If there's anything else that I can help you with, let me know in the comments down below. I'll be happy to help.
Hello, I see that you said we cannot edit our form 941. However, if I print a blank one from the IRS and fill it out with information that is different from what QuickBooks populates it with, will my W-2s be wrong at the end of the year? I would think I would have to do those manually as well. Thoughts?
Thanks,
How can the 941 be edited so I can recover salaries paid out to employees under the covid relief act?
- Currently employers are supposed to hold back the appropriate amount from federal withholdings as repayment but this process can not be accomplished when no option to edit the 941 exists.
Please instruct the correect way to file this claim with the IRS
Hi there, RS1969.
Thank you for posting here and welcome to QuickBooks Community. I'll share additional information to ensure that you're able to understand about editing 941.
Manually editing any information on the 941 forms is currently unavailable in QuickBooks Online. The system complies with the IRS tax laws to generate that information based on the payroll details and paycheck data you've entered on file. As mentioned above, you'll need to file the claim by printing a blank 941 form from the IRS and manually enter your payroll details for amendment.
However, if the 941 form is is not yet submitted to the IRS, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Care Team. They have the tools to pull up your account and have the availability to correct the payroll information for you.
Here's how to contact them:
