Can I make a one time payment for this program?

Yes. You can pay your QuickBooks subscription annually, wesleyhall42.

In QuickBooks Online, you'll have two options on how you can pay your subscription.

You can either pay it monthly or annually. To select annually, please follow these steps:

  1. From the Gear icon, select Account and Settings.
  2. Go to the Billing & Subscription section.
  3. Select Switch to annual billing.
  4. Select Switch, then Done.

QB Online is a subscription produt. You have to pay it by monthly or annualy. If you have to open a new QBO account, make sure to click the Buy button to get the discounted price for up to 6 months. If you purchase from the trial account, you have to pay the regular price.

But should you prefer having a one time license, consider QB Desktop Pro or Premier. You may get QB Pro 1 user for $300 directly or around $200 thru a partner.

Can I make a one time payment for this program?

I use Gusto for payroll.  Gusto has an application interface that works with QB desktop, their support docs describe how to do it, but not the specific version(s) of the desktop program that they can work with.  I have found a vendor selling Quickbooks Desktop Pro for Windows - 2020 - 1 User License (non-subscription) for $248.00.  Before I purchase, I'd like to know if this particular version will allow me to import data outside payroll providers to integrate into my chart of accounts.  I assume it's an iif file and I understand that QBD 2020 does import them.  However it may be that the program and Gusto work together automatically.  I just don't want to spend the money and find out it's the wrong product to simply/easily import my payroll data.

Thanks!

Hello, CertifiedPubicAccountant.

Thank you for choosing QuickBooks as your accounting software. In QuickBooks, there's a lot of third-party apps that integrate and allow to import data. In the meantime, you'll want to visit our QuickBooks Apps Store to view which apps integrate into QuickBooks.

Also, the easiest way to export and import your chart of account through IIF files. Just go to File > Utilities > Export > Lists to IIF file. or Click on File > Utilities > Import, and choose IIF Files.

For more details about importing your lists and transactions, check out these articles:

Utilize the trial license of QB Desktop 2020 to make sure it works.

@Anonymous

You may purchase a one time license of QBD 2020 Pro 1 user worth around $300 thru a partner until next week. After next week, we can only purchase QBD 2021 license. One time license = no renewal to pay and company will support and release updates/patches for up to 3 years.
