Last week I set up QBO payroll to pay payroll taxes for a client. He stopped by my office and electronically signed the authorization. Within minutes, it was done and we had confirmation emails that both Federal and State had been accepted.
Today I am trying to set up QBO payroll to pay payroll taxes for another client. Her message on QBO Payroll instructs her to print forms, sign them, and upload to QBO. The forms are Full Power of Attorney forms for Paycycle to allow them to file WI SUI and Withholdings.
Is this legit?
Why is one WI client with existing QBO payroll able to sign electronically and the other required to print and upload the forms?

I've got a couple of handy insights about managing electronic signatures for payroll forms in QuickBooks Online.
Those forms that are required to be printed and uploaded may not be eligible for the e-signature feature. Also, it depends on the state if they require an e-signature on the payroll forms.
If needed, you can manually affix your signature or integrate a supported third-party app to do this. Let me guide you on how:
I'm also adding this resource that might be useful if you want to run payroll reports in QBO to help you track your business: Run payroll reports in QuickBooks Online Payroll.
Stay in touch if you need help with other payroll-related concerns, such as managing employees and payroll forms. I'm here to help you anytime. Take care and stay safe.
My question is stemming from the fact that the same forms for the same type of organization in the same state a week apart, one was told to esign, one was told to print and wet sign.
