Can you have partial payroll direct deposit in qbo?

Yes, you can create a partial direct deposit in QuickBooks Online (QBO), 7PG.

QBO allows you to run multiple payrolls in a pay period. Here are the steps for the first direct deposit paycheck.

  1. Go to Payroll menu, then select Run payroll.
  2. Select a pay schedule, then Continue.
  3. Select the employees you want to pay.
  4. Verify if you have selected the correct bank account, pay period, and pay date. You can also modify them as needed.
  5. Choose Direct Deposit for the payment method.
  6. Enter hours worked if applicable.
  7. Select Preview Payroll.
  8. To edit or preview a specific check, select the Edit ✏️ icon next to the check's net pay, then select OK when done.
  9. When you're ready, select Submit payroll, then Finish payroll.

For the second paycheck, if you select the same pay period, you'll see the Create another check option. And, you can also choose Direct Deposit or Check as the payment method.

When you use direct deposit, be sure to consider processing times when creating and approving checks. Also, if your worker doesn't see their funds after this time, there may be a reason.

I'm adding these articles to learn what to do after running direct deposit paychecks.

Keep me posted if there's anything else I can help you with paying direct deposit paychecks. I'm always around whenever you have follow-up questions.

Can you have partial payroll direct deposit in qbo?

Half of my employees want direct deposit and the others do not. This will be a weekly activity for both groups. Is there a way to set this up so as to not have a hassle each week? We use QBO time sheets. Thanks...pg

Can you have partial payroll direct deposit in qbo?

Good morning, @&PG.

I appreciate you coming back in and asking more questions.

All you need to do is edit their payment method section within QuickBooks Online to ensure that they're getting paid by direct deposit or paper check. Also, to get paid weekly, you can go through the Employment details section of the employees information to edit the pay schedule for them.

Here's a guide that can provide you with the steps on how to go there: Edit or change employee info in payroll

Let me know how these steps go. I want to ensure that you get back to running your business as soon as possible!
