Can you see a history of employee pay increases in QBO?

Thanks for posting your concern here in the QuickBooks forum, @e030699,

I can help you get the pay increase information of your employee.

At the moment, we do not have a specific report in QBO showing the change of employee's pay rate. But, not to worry, we can use another report for you to keep track of the pay history.

For this, we can use the Payroll Summary by Employee report. Here's how to use the report:

  1. Go to the Reports menu and choose Payroll Summary by Employee from the list.
  2. On the report, you will need to toggle by year so the correct rate will appear.
  3. Make sure to tick the Rate box and fill out the other filters.
  4. Once done, press Run Report.

See the following screenshots showing the change of rate from last year and the current year:

Herein attached are some related links on how to use reports in QBO:

Is there a way to view pay rate with the new updates? There currently is not a pay rate option to select.

Hi @kw1991,

Welcome to the Community. I'm here to help you get the support you need with the employee pay rates in QuickBooks Online.

Ideally, the option to add the employee pay rates should be available when you run the report. Since you're unable to include it on your end, I'm checking for any updates concerning any changes to the payroll reports.

While waiting for the confirmation, I've replicated to see if the other payroll versions are showing the same results. Considering that I'm getting the same output and options, I recommend contacting our Payroll Support Team.

This way, one of our support can take over and further investigate why the Pay Rate is no longer an option. Our Customer Support Team for QuickBooks Online Payroll - Core, Premium is available from 6 AM - 6 PM PT (Monday - Friday). For QuickBooks Full Service Payroll, QuickBooks Online Payroll Elite/Premium, any time, any day.

Here's how:

  1. Click the Help tab in the upper-right corner.
  2. Go to the Assistant tab.
  3. Click Get help from a human.
  4. Choose Chat with us or Have us call you

You can also check this article to view the complete list of payroll reports, as well as the additional reporting features you can use in QuickBooks:: Run payroll reports.

Keep us posted if you need any assistance pulling up data using reports in QBO. Have a great day.

7 months after this comment above and I do not see a RATE option in my reports either. PLEASE UPDATE! I would think this is a very common notion to look up your employee's past wage changes... yet it's not in here? Now I'll have to go paycheck by paycheck to hunt for the change. NOT GOOD QBO!

I just moved into HR and found out that they were not tracking when raises were given out.  I would have thought there would be a report in Quickbooks that would shoe when increases where made but as others have mentioned there is no Pay Rate box to check...come on now please make this happen.
