Changing Direct Deposit Checking Account

For two months, I have been trying to get Intuit to let me change the direct deposit checking account.  I have filled out forms, uploaded, called MANY times, talked to John, Elaine, Josh, and Sam, and still they won't let me update the account.  I have to change the owner e-mail and telephone number, and they keep sending me down the rabbits hole.  I have come up against a brick wall and am being forced into another situation.  They won't help me, there is NO customer service, and anyone you speak to is RUDE!  We pay tons of money to these people and they don't have the courtesy to help.  Any ideas????????????

Changing Direct Deposit Checking Account

Hi there. It isn't the impression I want you to have while changing your direct deposit checking account. I understand this can be a challenging experience. I'm here to help you update your account successfully.

Only the primary principal or owner is authorized to update the bank information. Since you're trying to modify the owner's email and phone number, I recommend completing all the details on the Primary Principal change form to avoid any issues.

Then, make sure to take note of the following:

  1. Have the current and the new principals sign the request letter. If the current principal can't sign, indicate the name on the letter and explain the reason for the change.
  2. Get a photocopy of the new principal's government-issued ID.
  3. Contact QuickBooks Desktop payroll support to submit the form, request letter, and ID via Intuit File Exchange.

The principal change typically takes 3–5 banking days after we receive the documents. Rest assured, you'll receive a status email from us once the process is complete.

Once changed, you're now ready to update your bank account. I'm adding this article as your reference: Change your payroll bank account.

If you'd like to modify your employees' bank account for direct deposit, use the resources from this article as your reference: Change your employee's direct deposit info.

Let me know if you require additional assistance with changing your direct deposit checking account in QBDT Payroll. I'm just a few clicks away to help you again. Stay safe!
