Check printing alignment getting progressively worse.

Printing checks in quickbooks is suddenly messed up. It is only in quickbooks and it doesn't matter which printer we use(even printing to PDF). Using the alignment setting only helps temporarily but the checks become misaligned as we print. Any suggestions? We are using quickbooks enterprise solutions 18.0

Thank you!

Check printing alignment getting progressively worse.

Hi there, @eurot.

Thank you for providing the complete details about what's happening on your check printing alignment. Let's work together to resolve this.

As an initial step, let's ensure your QuickBooks is updated to the latest release.

Next, we can run the QuickBooks PDF & Print Repair Tool. This will help you in resolving any problem with the printing alignment and other related issues.

  1. Download and run the QuickBooks Print and PDF Repair Tool.
  2. Try printing the check once more after the tool completes.
  3. If the problem persists, you will have to reboot your computer and reset the temp folder permissions.

Here are the steps in resetting your temp folder permission:

  1. Press the Windows key + R to open the RUN command.
  2. Type %TEMP% and press Enter.
  3. Right-click an empty area of the temp folder.
  4. Select Properties.
  5. Click the Security tab.
  6. Ensure all usernames and groups have Full Control.
  7. Once the permissions have been set to Full Control, try saving the check as PDF again within QuickBooks.

If the steps given above didn't do the trick, you can try the other recommendations in this article: Resolve Problems Printing, Emailing or Saving as PDF out of QuickBooks Desktop (QuickBooks Print and....

I'd also recommend reaching out to your IT guy for proper guidance.

That should help you print your checks with the correct alignment. Keep me posted if there's anything else you need. Have a good one.
