Company rate for WA Employment Admin Fund

I am trying to set up payroll having never ran payroll before. Will not allow me to set up payroll without Company Rate for this account. Where can I find this information? I've tried contacting the Employment Security Department with no luck.

Company rate for WA Employment Admin Fund

I appreciate you for contacting the Employment Security Department, breanna13.

The company rate isn't needed when setting up payroll. Can you tell me the exact page that asks you to enter this data?

In the meantime, let's run the verify and rebuild troubleshooting steps to check for any data damage.

Let me guide you with these steps:

  1. Click the File menu.
  2. Select Utilities and then Verify Data

If you see any specific error message, let's try searching for it on our Help page. If it prompts Your data has lost integrity, you'll have to rebuild the file.

You can do that by clicking the File menu. Then, select Utilities and then Rebuild Data. Click OK when you get the message Rebuild has completed.

Afterward, let's try setting up payroll  again.

I've also added these links that help you prepare your payroll taxes:

Let me know if there's anything that I can help. Keep safe!

Company rate for WA Employment Admin Fund

Hi Adrian,

Thank You for your response.

I went through and ran the troubleshooting steps with no data damage found.

You can see where I am being asked for the Company Rate in the screenshot attached. This is within "Payroll Setup."

We have never ran payroll in the past, trying to complete setup to bring new employees on.Screenshot 2020-10-01 162938.jpgScreenshot 2020-10-01 162231.jpg

Let me make it up to you, Breanna13.

The set up will not be complete without the company rate. You can enter a dummy rate, for now. Then, edit it once you have the information from your state agency.

You can learn all about payroll setup interview through this article: Payroll setup interview in Desktop.

If you have more questions, please feel free to get back to this thread. Keep safe!
