I'll share the details about reducing your 5-day lead time into one day when processing payroll through QuickBooks Online (QBO), @charles-leggette

We always want to make sure your direct deposits are safe. With this, I'd recommend going to your email and find its title, which is “Urgent Payroll Issue.” Then, review the details listed in the email. It helps you determine why you’ve been placed on a 5-day lead time. You'll also know when you can request for faster funding. Please take note that not all customers will qualify for this.

Once reviewed, our support team will contact you. They can discuss with you about your request of having a quicker lead time. For more details, see this article's Do you want to make a faster funding request? section: Why Am I On A 5-day Funding Time?

However, if you haven't received an “Urgent Payroll Issue" email, I'd suggest contacting our Customer Care Team. They have the tools to securely pull up your company. Also, they can take a look at your request to reduce your funding time from 5 days into a single one. You'll first have to review our support hours to ensure they can assist you on time. I'll guide you how.

  1. Go to the Help menu at the upper right.
  2. Select Contact Us
  3. Enter I want to reduce my 5-day funding time into 1 day when processing payroll  in the What can we help you with? box.
  4. Click Let's talk
  5. Choose a way to connect with a support agent.

Also, please keep in mind that weekends or holidays will affect the processing of your payroll. Thus, you can visit this website: Direct Deposit Timing. It has in-depth information about ensuring your employees get paid on time.

I recommend running any payroll reports in the software. These will help you get a closer look at your business' finances, payroll costs, and employees. To access them, check out this article: Payroll Reports Overview

I'll be right here to help if you need further assistance. Enjoy the rest of your day, @charles-leggette
