I also am experiencing the same issue. It is not an issue on our end, the banking information is the exact same as it has been for months for the company’s bank account and for the employees’ bank accounts. The company has the funds in the bank account, too. I usually receive an email the night of saying that deposits are being processed, which I did NOT receive, and no one has been paid. It seems like Quickbooks experienced some kind of outage with their system last night. These are not deposits that will get rejected, these payment are made to the same people with the same banking details as all of the weeks prior. This is unacceptable especially seeing that Quickbooks support is posting garbage essentially trying to say it is user error. This needs to be resolved asap. I wish I was a software engineer that could make a legitimate competitive software for Quickbooks.

As of about 1 hour ago, the transactions had not been deducted from the company’s bank account, but I just checked again and the transactions have been taken out. Hopefully Quickbooks is quickly resolving this issue because Monday is a federal holiday, so it is possible the payments won’t be deposited into employees accounts until Tuesday.

I've reviewed our QuickBooks Status page and can confirm there's currently scheduled maintenance publicized on the status page. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and can assure you our Product Engineering team is working to quickly complete their maintenance and minimize any disruption of service during this time.
You can visit our QuickBooks Status page for information and updates on the scheduled maintenance. There's also an option there to Subscribe to Updates. This can be found at the top of the page. I'd recommend using this so you'll receive emails about any updates relating to the maintenance.

The maintenance is scheduled for Tomorrow. Saturday. So does that mean we are not getting paid today??
Are the employees going to have to wait to get their deposit on Tuesday since Monday is a federal holiday? This is unacceptable. Friday’s business day prior to a Monday Holiday I imagine is a busier time regarding payroll, so why would scheduled maintenance be done then? Can these transactions be voided out so employees can be paid a different way?!?!
But what does that mean for us? Will we get out DD today?
This scheduled maintenance isn't today (8/29/25) it is scheduled for Aug 30, 2025 20:00-22:00 PDT. So that's not what is causing this issue. That's about 36 hours from the time of your comment. I sure as hell hope that's not when they're going to fix the current issue.

Same issue here. No one has been paid. Payroll was processed on Wednesday same as our typical weekly process.

Thank you for sharing this information. We are new to QB this year, so this is the first time we have seen this, but it's so disappointing and not acceptable. However, seeing your message has helped ease some of the anxiety, so thank you for sharing. That said, I won't be satisfied until the DD go through as they should - it's going to be a long day of waiting if it isn't very soon.
Its also the end of the month! People are depending on having the money they earned available to then when it is supposed to be. Bills have to be paid. How can quickbooks not give any specific options or updates? I put in for a callback first thing this morning, but that option is disabled now. Im trying to use the chat now, but I got one response and it was a generic line about there being a potential delay in payroll processing that has been resolved and payroll will be processed today. It doesn't help me know when my employees will get their money! This is a massive problem!
This does not answer our concerns about when the employees will be paid.
They rolled us callers over flow to Canada so they in return give us a us number and we fall in the same line. We put in 30 min on hold so far. We are not alone it seems. I guess 3 of our employees got overdrafted so far. I’m not sure how they will resolves this
I just Checked our account and QB took out the taxes but has yet to take Direct Deposits. UGH I have been also waiting on a call or chat since 8:30am. While typing this I just got a confirmation congrats on getting your team paid email. But, no deductions for it as of yet.
Everyone, we are in the same boat and let us not give up until this is resolved. They give an on hold message saying it’s been resolved but our bank accounts are still drying up as we chat…. Please quick books!

I just got off the phone with Quickbooks and I was told that the reason for the incident was because it was a holiday on Monday so a lot of paychecks were processed...what? Lol, okay more importantly I was informed the issue should be resolved and deposits should be received no later than 5pm Pacific time, today. We shall see...

Due to a system issue there will be a potential delay in notifications to payroll customers on their successful payroll processing. This has now been resolved and payroll will be processed as normal.
There will be no impact to money movement and payroll will still be processed and deposited today. Funds should be available by this afternoon.
In the meantime, I'd recommend visiting our QuickBooks Status page and subscribing for updates so you'll be notified of any status issues for your product.
