Direct Deposit did not process

I got a call from a few of my employees that their deposits have started hitting their bank accounts within the last 20-30 minutes.

I too will have to pay for to overdraft fees for my employee. As employers we are ultimately responsible for timely payroll. Of course - no barrage of QBO emails apologizing or explaining the delay. I did get an email with my monthly payment to them!!

It is now Tuesday 9/2/25 - Friday payroll has not deposited.

QuickBooks Online (QBO) processes direct deposit paychecks based on the lead time you have set up and when you submit the payroll, JVAK.

 

Once you've submitted your payroll on time, your financial institution has until midnight to deposit the paycheck into your account. For example, if you use the Same-day lead time, you'll need to submit the payroll before 7:00 AM PT on Friday for the funds to be deposited by midnight that day.

 

If it was submitted after the cut-off time, it will be processed on the next banking day. You can also check out this article for more details on direct deposit funding times and submission deadlines: When to send your direct deposit payroll.

 

However, if you've already checked your lead time and the deposit was still delayed, we recommend contacting our Live Support Team. They can securely access your account to investigate this specific payroll run.
