I have a few questions regarding 2024 W2 e-file requirement of 10 or more docs and am hoping someone has insight
1 - Do I need to purchase the pre-printed forms to run thru QB if I'm e-filing?
2 - If I get all employees signed up on workforce thru QB does that satisfy the requirement to give it to them
by Jan 31st
3 - so again, no need to buy those forms, stamps, envelopes.. ?

I e filed my W2. If my employees didn't sign up to receive their w-2 by email can I print them off for them in my quickbooks 2024 desktop?
Hi there, @PAT0511.
I'd like to share some information about printing and sending your W-2 forms to your employees.
The options available to you for printing and sending W-2 forms depend on your payroll subscription. If you are using QuickBooks Desktop Payroll Assisted, QuickBooks can send the forms to your employees with fees. However, if you are using QuickBooks Desktop Payroll Enhanced, you can print the forms and send them manually.
For detailed instructions on how to print your W-2 forms, you can check out this article: Print your W-2 and W-3 forms.
Your employees can also view their W-2 forms in QuickBooks Workforce. You can refer to this article for instructions on how to allow them to do so: View your pay stubs, time off, and year-to-date pay in QuickBooks Workforce.
If you have any other questions or concerns about printing and mailing your forms, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. We are always here to help and support you in any way we can.
No, I would just print them on blank paper and give to them.
No need to buy forms or envelopes. Just fold and put in regular envelopes or give with their payroll check. (that's what i did)
Yes, just print off w2s in quickbooks.
