Google Chrome blocks unwanted pop-ups like ads or spam. Unfortunately, it may also block some useful pop-ups, which can affect some functionalities such as printing. We'll walk you through the steps to enable QuickBooks-related pop-ups.

To see the print window pop-up
  1. Minimize the large, dimmed window or check your taskbar for a minimized pop-up window.
  2. If you still don't see the expected print window, follow these steps to enable pop-ups.
To enable pop-ups in Google Chrome
  1. Open Google Chrome.
  2. Copy and paste chrome://settings/content/popups into the address bar, then Enter.
  3. Go to the Allow section, then select Add.

Clear cache and cookies to fix issues when using QuickBooks Online

Learn how to delete browser cache and Intuit-specific cookies to quickly fix issues when using QuickBooks Online.

QuickBooks Online uses browser cache and cookies to run faster. But there are rare times when cache and cookies cause small problems.

If you’re experiencing any of the problems below, don’t worry. We’ll help you clear your browser’s cache and cookies to fix them.

  • QuickBooks keeps asking you to sign in, even after signing in multiple times.
  • You can't view forms (like your annual payroll forms or invoice preview), or your browser is taking an unusually long time to download forms.
  • You’re having trouble exporting data (for example, exporting a report to Excel or transactions to another accounting program).
Note: To have the best and most secure experience with QuickBooks Online, use a supported, up-to-date browser.
Step 1: Clear your browser’s cache

Your browser’s cache saves files on your computer to load websites faster on your next visit. But overtime, it also gets full with outdated files that may cause small issues.

It’s a good idea to clear cache from time to time. Follow the linked steps for your browser:

Note: Be sure to uncheck Cookies and other site data so you won’t get signed out of websites, including QuickBooks Online.

After clearing cache, make sure to restart your browser.

Step 2: Clear Intuit-specific cookies from your browser

Most of the time, you only need to clear your browser's cache. But if you keep having the same problem even after doing that, you can clear Intuit-specific cookies. This helps refresh website preferences that might be causing problems when you use QuickBooks.

Note: It’s important to only clear Intuit-specific cookies.

When you’re ready, follow the steps for your browser.

Google Chrome
  1. Select the Menu: button.

  2. Select Safari beside the apple icon to the top left.
